Janae's POV

The school year was going by fast and I was missing a lot of it. I had been out of school for 2 weeks and when I came back I only had a few full school days. I had missed all my exams. That was kind of a good thing because I had more time to study. One exam I didn't miss was my independent living class (home etc).

See the way the school is setup, those types of classes were in the cafeteria. They had their own little hallway though, so they wouldn't get in the way of people eating. That class I had an A in all year, because it was one of those classes, where all you did was show up and you'd be fine.

The exam was extremely easy, so I thought I had failed. The kids that didn't have exams were placed in the cafeteria, which was absolutely great. I had finished the exam early, so I asked if i could "use the bathroom". We've all used that excuse to get out of a boring class to go talk to friends.

As soon as i walked out the classroom door i was bombarded by my friends. "Janae your best friend is in the cafeteria" Asiah said. That instantly put a smile on my face.

We all walked back to the cafeteria together and sat at the usual table. "BEST FRIEND" I hear her scream. My heart skipped a beat because she lowkey scared me.

She gave a the warmest hug I've ever had and it felt great to be in HER arms. I wish it lasted forever. You know those hugs you really need and when you get them you just wanna stay there forever. Yea it was one of those hugs. When she let go I sighed to myself wishing she hadn't.

"Hey darling" I say looking past her. I couldn't look her in the eye because if i did i knew i would try something. God she's so beautiful. I say to myself. I could only imagine if she was mine. I honestly don't remember the conversation. It was on the lines of the girl I like. You know when you're single all the time that when you actually get a girl or boy you forget. I'm like that all the time.

Let's flash forward to the end of the day. It was my last day of school, so I had to say my goodbyes and cry.

As I was walking to my car with my friend Jada, Jaylyn, aka best friend came up to talk to us. We have random chit chat before we leave and all of a sudden Jada says out loud "oh that's daddy?"

"Yea that's daddy" I say smiling.
