'You've been adopted.'

'Wh- What?' I stutter. 'By who?'
'By a certain Mr Brindley...' Annie says, smiling from ear to ear.
'No... He couldn't... He wouldn't...' A rush of joy is sent to my head and soon I'm grinning too.
'Take a photo! Quick!' Annie teases. 'Carla's smiling!'
'I HAVE MY REASONS!' I laugh, lightly punching her on the arm.
'Anyway,' She says, breathless. 'You'd better get packing. You have a family to get to.'
Just as she closes the door, I gasp in pain. My head is burning, and I fall to the floor. I close my eyes to bear the horrific pain, but as my eyelids slide shut, it triggers a vision. More powerful than I've ever experienced.
The vision takes place in a lab. White walls, grey floors. There are three people talking, stood around something on a table. I can't see the faces, but two are male, and the other a female.
'What are we going to do about the threat?' The woman asks. Her voice is sharp and pinched.
'We have no choice but to eliminate her. If she is anything like her mother, then she is dangerous and must be put down.' One of the men says. 'Dr. Hunt, I want a team sent out. Find her.'
The other male doctor nods. 'Yes, doctor.'
I wake up, my limbs jolting back to reality. I scramble backwards, panting. What could it mean? Scientists? What have they got to do with me? Why should they be my vision? It's all so confusing. Maybe they're talking about me. I'm not a threat. And... They're talking about- about a mother. Maybe... No. No, they're not talking about me.
I get up and steady myself. I should start packing. Walking across the room, I pick up my backpack. There's nothing special about it really, just a big black backpack covered in badges and patches. There should be enough room in there. I don't really own that much stuff. Before I start, I put my phone on my desk and play my playlist of Twenty one Pilots, Imagine Dragons and Bastille.
Firstly, I shove my laptop into the bag, and then cushion it with my small collection of clothes and hats. Then I take my DS (That looks about two hundred years old) and my little bag full of pokemon games and zip them into a side pocket. Finally, I grab a plastic bag and place a bunch of CDs, DVDs and books (Including my sketchbook and pencils) in it. I put my bags in the corner and am about to sit down when I run and grab two of my oldest wolf plushies, Nano and Lalna.
I look at the clock. It flashes: 9:45.
Contempt, I lie down, smiling. It's far earlier than I'll usually sleep but tonight is different. Tomorrow I will wake up with a brand new family. A YOGS family.

Lewis' POV.When I finally arrive home, it's late. I dropped off Duncan and Sjin at their places, and then set off back to my own flat. In my flat there aren't a lot of rooms, but it's a perfect size for me. There's a kitchen/living room area, a bathroom, my room and the spare room. It won't be spare for much longer, however.
I didn't know I'd be so fast to adopt, so I'd left the spare room how it usually was. Trashed, that is. Hastily I race into the room and observe the mess. There are piles of old newspapers, books and tapes on the bed and there's a huge looming dust cloud above me.
The first thing I do is grab a huge black bag and pile the old bits and bobs into it, huffing and puffing from the strain. Next I take a big feather duster, and dust all around the room, and get the Hoover to hoover the carpet, that is also full of dust.
When the room is rid of the grey cloud, I bundle up the bedsheets and replace them with clean white linen. Lastly, I straighten the shelves and empty the drawers so she has space for her things. I yawn. I'd better get to bed myself.
As I climb into my own bed, all I can think about is what's ahead.
~~~~~~~/+/~~~~~~~~Hey wolf friends,
You may have noticed but from now on, I'm going to be naming my chapters after lyrics of the featured song.
PS. This is my favourite song at the moment and I urge you to listen to it on repeat. THE FEELS.~Kal :3
