Life Story as told by Jasmine
As a child, my parents got me involved in many things such as dancing, figure skating, gymnastics, cheerleading, Football (Soccer in the United States), and modeling. My parents wanted me to have the best that life could offer and explore what there was out there for me to do. My parents did this for all four of us. My brother Simon started as an actor then became the lead singer of Duran Duran. My brothers Dave and Jonathan were more of Football players and more interested in sports. Of course Dave grew up to work on movies and Jonathan grew up to be a doctor.
I grew up London, Bushey, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom to Ann-Marie and John Le Bon. I was born on May 6th, 1963. My parents first enrolled me in dancing when I was three years old. From then on, I became a Competitive Dancer that went to Competitions all over the UK. At age four, I was enrolled into figure skating. At age seven, I was enrolled in gymnastics which led me into Cheerleading. My first movie was Escape to Witch Mountain where I played Tia Malone and I was in the sequel as well.
Becoming a Singer was something I never imagined of doing. I always dreamed of becoming an Actress along with being a Professional Dancer. My brother Simon was interested in music and even went to Tel Aviv in Israel for six months just to find himself. I can actually thank him for helping me become a musician. When he joined Duran Duran in 1980, me and my friend Pepsi were in our last year of High School. He made us go to Birmingham to record as their backup singers. I'm thankful for the help of my brother because I wouldn't be where I am now without him.
With that came a lot a fame that was sometimes too much. From Star Wars to Indiana Jones, Aladdin, and everything in between. Sometimes you have to learn to live in the spotlight. But I love my life with my husband and my children. I may have made a few mistakes throughout the years, but I regret none of it. This is my story.
