Knowing Josh would be with me, I no longer felt bad about leaving. After he left I took out a duffle bag and started packing. He had told me to pack light, because we weren't promised a permeant house. Because of his point, I only packed clothes, socks, money, and some important things to me.
I looked around and almost cried. Maybe Josh could sleepover. I didn't want to go to sleep tonight alone. Something was off, but I didn't know what. So I texted him to ask.
Me: hey can you sleep over?
Him: yeah sure thing. You ok?
Me: yeah. Just getting over it.
Him: ok, I just finished packing. I'll be there in 5. We'll leave in the morning.
Me: where are we going. And that sounds good!
Him: don't worry princess. We'll be fine.
I didn't text back after that. I put my phone aside and went downstairs. My brothers were crying and my parents were shocked.
"What happened in here?" I asked.
"He broke in." They all said.
********Josh's POV********
I was going to her house a little quickly tonight. She hadn't texted me back and she seemed scared. It wasn't like her to just stop texting.
I walked up to her to her house and could automatically tell someone was here. And they were't family.

I walked in and everyone's faces seemed shocked.
"Sorry, I didn't know my face was scary," I joked trying to lighten the mood. It didn't seem to help.
"Josh you can't go," Mr. Ramez said.
"But Christina will be alone," I protested.
"Josh it's too dangerous. This is her battle."
"Mr. Ramez with all do respect sir, I'm going and you can't stop me."
"I guess that will be up to fate."
********Narrators POV*************
They both sat on Christina's bed and said nothing. After about an hour, Josh broke the silence.
"Princess, don't worry. I'm going."
"It's not that. It's just that this thing us scary."
"You saw it?? Why didn't you tell me?"
"I didn't. I can just feel it. Something isn't right. I just know it. This isn't a person after me."
"Then what is it?"
"A beast."
