It was a dark and stormy night. The only way out was through the
window. There was no way that Karenina was gonna jump out of a five
storie house window. The smoke in the house was slowly finding its
way up the house. The only fresh oxygen that she was receiving was
through a window. Karenina lived alone in the middle of the country in
Oklahoma. She was very smart. She didn't have any electricity, but she
does have plumbing. Karenina depends on the sun during the day. Her
roof consists of solar panels. She believes that this way of living is better
for the economy. She couldn't believe that this was happening. A fire in
her dream home just because she wanted to watch the fire for a few
minutes, instead of putting the cover straight back on. Karenina was so
lost. To her, her options were to either stay in the burning house, or jump
out the window. If she jumped then she would die, if she stayed then she
would burn to death.
As she was contemplating on what to do, she saw a bright light out
the corner of her eye. She couldn't make it out at first, but then it was
clear. That bright light was indeed a man with a very large and brought
flashlight. At an instinct she starting to scream for help. The man heard
her yelp, and obviously saw, and smelled all of the smoke. He gets close
enough to the burning monster an looks up. He tells her to jump...
"You have to jump."
"No I can't."
"Yes you can."
"If I jump then..." (starts coughing from all the smoke.)
"I promise to catch you. Yes it is possible to die from this height, but I will
not let anything happen to you. I promise."
"Okay, but on the count of three."
"Okay"
"1"
"2"
"3" (Karenina jumps out of the window, praying to God that he catches
her, and this man takes her away from the house before it blow up.)
"You can open up your eyes now."
