Life Is Too Short ~A Jeff Hardy One Shot~

          There was a crowd chanting my name as the 50 foot ladder was set up, before I began my ladder match against Beth Phoenix. Her taunting me during the match. And now the silence of the crowd as I jump into 70 feet drop off the ladder and possiblle my death, as my memories came flowing back to me.

          Jeff defending me against my father when I was 16 because he just hit me and was calleing me a stupid little whore because I was late getting home from a date. Then Jeff grab bing my hand and pulling me out of the house to his. Him comforting me all night rocking me to sleep, singing to me, and telling me everything was going to be fine as he wiped away my tears.

          60 Feet left.

          My first match ever in the WWE. Me being nervious and Jeff telling me to stop worrying that I'll do great. And that it's an intergender match so he'll be out there with me and won't let anything happen to me. Then him kissing me in excitment  after I pinned Melina. Him blushing and saying sorry after he realized what he did.

          54 Feet Left

          Jeff running his fingers through my hair and kissing my forehead as he wipes tears from my face. I had just caught my would be husband cheating on me. Me curling up to him soaking his shirt in tears as he tells me that Aaron was never worth it and I deserved so much better.

          46 Feet Left

          Jeff kissing me in the rain, outside the club I was singing at. Then  him asking me to be his and promising he would never  be like the others. He would never hurt me and he would always be there for me no matter what.

          38 Feet Left

          Laughing and playing around with Jeff. Spraying him in the face with the water hose at our house. Him chasing me around the yard trying to hug me, as both of our laughters rang out across the yard. Him slipping and falling in the mud puddle and bring me down with him, only to have me land on top of him. Him laughing and then kissing me gently.

          25 Feet Left

          The pouring rain mixing with my tears as I sttod in the pouring rain watching another girl kiss him. The pain and the bethrol I felt as he pulled away and saw me. then tried to say it wasn't what it looked like. Him yelling for me to come back and chasing me, only to have me out run him.

          10 Feet Left

The blood gushing from my wrist as I tempted to end my life. Only to have Matt walk in and stop me by taking the blade. Then him holding me and telling me his brother is a dumbass but he really does love me. But I shouldn't end my life over something like that, because everything will work out.

          I closed my eyes as I made impact with Beth and then hit thee ground hard, knocking her unconious. I tried to move but for some strange reason I couldn't. I felt disconnected like I was no longer in my body. Or that I was dieing it kind of felt like it. But you know how they say there is flashes of your life or there is a bright light. Well this is a lie and completely  untrue......Hell I'm being cheated. Were the hell is my bright light at the end of the tunnel....God why are you cheating me so. As I laid there I was only aware enough to tell you that someone slipped into the ring with me. They dropped to thier knees and pulled me into an embrace that was all but to familar, it was Jeff.

          "Damit. Somebody call help," he screamed over the now growing chaos. "Please don't die on me Brit. I'm sorry I hurt you and I know I was an idiot. She came on to me and like a dumbass I didn't push her away idmediatly. I am so sorry I hurt you. I promised I wouldn't and if you just please wake up I'll spend the rest of my life trying to make it up to you. You know you're my angel, my life, my everything and I love you. So please don't die or I don't know what I'ld do," he whispered, as I felt something wet hit my face. He was crying.

          That gave me the energy to hold on. Then I whispered, "Jeff." Then fell unconious. I wake up the next in a hostpital bed. Every part of me hurt when  I moved. But when I moved my right hand I felt a little pressure on it. When I looked Jeff hand his head laying on his right arm and his left hand was holding mine. Smiling lightly I used my other hand to run my fingers through his hair. He stirred a little looking at me and then caught my hand and kissed it. Smiling at me and still holding my had he stood up and laid down beside me.

          "Are you ok," He asked as I laid my head on his chest. Before I could say anything he continued, "I thought I lost you Brit."

          "I can't leave you.....I promised you forever," I said looking up at him my brown eyes locking with his green ones.

          "Brittany I love you and I want to spend all eternity with you because forever is to short," he said as I felt something slide onto my finger. Looking down I saw a beautiful diamond ring. "Will you marry me?"

          My only response was to kiss him, which he eagerly reponded back too.
