"Alright Cadets!" You could hear Keith Shadis shout at your squad, you were all preparing for your first titan hunt since you arrived. You look at everyone, some looked like they were already prepared for what was passed those walls while you Melody and Echo were more excited and scared than the others around you. Echo looked at you and smiled widely her black hair helping bring out her odd pink eyes that here and her sister shared, pink eyes and black hair was a trait they both shared from their mother, she was on of the few greatest of her generation. Their mothers name was Mutie, she had been killed off due to having complications after her daughters were born. They twins did have a older brother, he disappeared after the titans attacked, you've met him before, but he was about as old as Levi now that you think about it. You soon finish preparing and went to the rest of your squad, Melody smirks. "Don't die first thing runt, I need someone to be my servant after i become a hero and kill off all the titans!" She laughs ruffling Echo's hair. You grumble and waited for the signal, which signs on and you are nearly left in the dust as everyone begun grappling away from the spot you were at. You land on a building looking around as you hear a shout. "Class 7 meter titan spotted!" You soon spot the titan as well and see the twins going for it. "woo hoo!" you could hear Melody shout causing you to smile a bit. But that smile soon turned to a look of terror as a titan grabbed their cords causing Melody to crash to a near by building nearly killing her instantly, Echo wasnt spared such a lucky fate. She hit the same building breaking her shoulder, a few ribs, and her jaw leaving her mangled on the roof. You stood there in shock, you at least thought Melody would've at least killed her first titan.

  It was hours after killing titan's did you all retreat bringing your dead and wounded along with you. Echo was in a hospital bed and hadn't stopped crying 'its my fault!' or 'i should've noticed the titan!'. You kept by her side every night you could, she hardly got better from her bones, she refused to eat or drink due to her jaw and her body making her throw what ever she ate up. It was saddening to watch her slip into depression and starvation. Since she wouldn't eat nurses had to force feed the poor girl stuffing a tube down her throat and all. "Hey (Y/N)..." Jean, Armin, Eren, and Miskasa walked up to you all with solmn looks plastered on their faces, Jean almost instantly hugging you knowing what had happened.
