Zed x Reader

Your garden was filled with every flower ever. Sunflowers, to roses. Daisies to tulips, everything. Your garden was always warm, and always had the sun shining down upon it. There were vines that covered the walls around your garden, giving it a beautiful and tranquil aura. It was perfect, although, there was one small thing that bothered you. You felt like you were being watched. But that was just a notion, right? Just because you thought it, doesn't mean it was true.

Everyday you'd come to your garden to see your favorite flower-- orchids. But one day, they were gone. All your flowers. All your orchids. Everything was gone. You were left with nothing but the vines that covered the walls in a veil of green. Fear haunted you, knowing that there was a thief who's targeted you.

"Zed...!", You said, hugging him. "A thief robbed me!" You said with an anxious tone.

"Oh..", He mumbled, putting his mask on and looking away "How... unfortunate." Zed replied. You looked up at Zed, a shocked expression on your face.

"That's all?!" , You shouted "That's ALL you have to say?"

"I'm sorry, (y/n)", He apologized while patting your head "I'll help you catch that thief. I promise."

~ The Next Week ~

A week went by, and you still haven't found the culprit. Losing hope, you sat down in your once flower-filled garden. Slumping against the wall, you curled up into a ball as thoughts flooded your head. Did Zed really care? Would he keep his promise?

"Hey, (y/n)", A familiar, male voice called. "Don't be so down. I promised that I would help, remember?"

It was obviously him.

Zed.

Letting a few tears run down your cheek, you slowly got up from your ball position. "You don't even care, do you..?" You said, wiping your cheek which was wet from tears.

"(y/n).." Zed began. He got down at your level and wiped your tears away. "If I didn't care, I wouldn't have found the thief."

"Wait you found the thief?!" You exclaimed with a determined tone. Zed slowly nodded his head as if to say 'yes'. You jumped into his arms and hugged him tightly "Thank you, thank you, thank you!!" You said, happiness overwhelming. You'd finally have all your flowers back.

"Follow me, I know where your flowers are."

~ Time Skip ~

Zed brought you to a cliff.

A cliff.

Zed took a deep breath in, then exhaled very slowly. "(y/n), I'm the flower thief." He mumbled. Your (e/c) orbs began to cloud and fog with tears.

"W-Why...?" You queried with a sad tone.

"Look over the edge of the cliff. " He demanded. You cautiously peered over the edge. To your surprise, all your flowers were at the bottom. They were arranged into the words: ❤  BE MINE ❤ You jumped into Zed's arms, hugging him tightly.

"Of course I will, Zed!" You exclaimed happily.

"I love you, (y/n).." He said, placing a kiss softly on your forehead.

"I love you, too.."

"More than flowers?"

You laughed. "More than flowers."
