In the scorching nation of Shurima, the moon shone upon the gold sands, covering all of Shurima in a silver veil. Calmly watching the ambient, night sky, Malzahar sat upon a column on sand. 

"There he is", you said, clutching your (whatever weapon you use). "Just where I want him." Wall jumping between two pillars, you landed behind Malzahar, (weapon) in your hand. You pulled your hood on, so you wouldn't be seen in the moonlight. Wincing due to the sudden noise, Malzahar turned around and saw you, holding your weapon. He grabbed you by your collar, giving you a cold stare with his voidling-like, glowing eyes. You tried forcing your weapon into his vulnerable ad exposed arm, but he grabbed your wrist, stymying you from doing any further actions. He pulled off your hood, revealing your face. You looked up at him with determined (e/c) orbs. His hatred voidling stare softened to a surprised look. Despite the change in his expression, his grip on you didn't change. He pushed you near the edge of the pillar.

"(y/n)", Malzahar began "What are you doing?! Have you been sent to kill me?" The fact that you were so close to falling sent adrenaline rushing through you. Your heart began to beat faster and faster with each intimidating stare he gave you.

"..Don't ask any questions." You said back at him, trying to shove your weapon into him again. He pushed you so that one foot was over the edge. Malzahar raised an eyebrow and threw your weapon out of your hand. You (e/c) eyes widened and your pulse started to race.

"Are you scared, (y/n)..?" Malzahar asked with a sly smirk on his face. You shook your head as if you were to say 'no'. He grabbed you by your feet and left you hanging over the edge of the sandy pillar. "Scared yet? That drop would kill you." You looked back up at him. This time, you weren't scared. You were terrified.

"O-Okay! Pull me back up!!" You shouted.

He pulled you back up, looking you in the eyes "Why are you trying to kill me, (y/n)?" he asked again. You didn't reply. He leaned closer to you, so close that your noses were touching. His warm breath landed onto your cheek and neck. Your (skin tone) cheeks turned into a shade of red.

"Why won't you answer?", Malzahar questioned "Tell. Me."

You looked away as your cheeks turned into a darker red. "..You distract me from my duties." You mumbled under your breath. Malzahar gave you a confused look and raised an eyebrow.

"And what's that supposed to mean, (y/n)?" He said, with a small, yet noticeable smile. Before he could do anything else, you wall jumped down two pillars, and fled. Malzahar stood there, clueless. He pulled his purple and blue stenciled veil down, covering his face. Lost in thought, Malzahar wondered if you'd ever come back.

~ The Next Day ~

Malzahar walked towards his sand pillar. Using your wall jump technique, he got to the top with ease. You were sitting there, looking down at the golden, Shuriman sands. Malzahar grabbed you from behind, sweeping you off your feet and into his arms. "Tell me, (y/n)! What did you mean when you said I distract you?" He said with a desperate, but bashful look. Your eyes widened and you blushed, due to the suddenness of his actions.

"B-By that I meant...", You paused mid sentence and stared into his glowing blue eyes. "I meant.. I kept thinking of you, while I had work to do... Which caused me to work less productively."

Malzahar looked into your eyes, with a shocked expression. "Oh?", He said. "And why is that?"

"..Why is what..?" You said, looking away.

"Why did you think of me?" He asked, putting you back down and sitting in front of you.

"..."

"Well?" Malzahar said, holding your hands between his.

"Because I love you, okay?!" You said, as your face was flushed and you started to sweat. You were about to wall jump away, but he grabbed you by your waist. Immediately, he placed a kiss onto your soft lips. "I love you too, (y/n).." Malzahar said, holding you tightly. You blushed, and hugged him.
