*saturday*

Well let's see I've watched every episode of Pretty little Liars on Netflix and I don't know what to do with my life now. I decided to watch Mean Girls because that is my all time favorite movie.

I was about half way through when my phone went off. I looked at it and it said 'NHboy followed you on twitter'. Wondering who that was I slid the notification across my phone and opened up twitter.

I clicked on his profile picture and it was Niall. How did he even find my twitter? Instead of overthinking things I just followed him back. Within a few minutes I had a DM from him. It read 'text me' along with his number.

Since I was still pissed at Damon I decided to take him up on his offer. I clicked out of Twitter, went to my messages and typed in his number. My fingers did that little dance over the keyboard when you don't know what to type before I settled on 'hey is this niall?' My thumb tapped the send button and almost instantly got a reply.

'Yeah it is actually. I heard about Damon, practically the whole school has but I just wanted to say sorry. He's a dick anyways.' I smiled because Niall was such a goody two shoes and he said dick.

For some unknown reason I needed to get to know him. I think it was the fact he was innocent and I most definitely wasn't. I felt the need to show him things he's never seen and make him trust someone like me.

I looked at my phone and realized it was 6. Fuck I haven't eaten since this morning.. No wonder my stomach was growling. I decided to get up and find something to eat. I settled on some raw cookie dough and and Apple. Yeah weird combination I know but it was good.

----------------------------------------------

So it's Monday again. I haven't been to school since last Tuesday either so this will be a shitty day. I occasionally saw Damon making me almost break down into tears every time. I only went to my first class because Niall was in there.

I walked in 5 minutes late receiving death stares from everyone except Niall, he just looked up from his work and slightly grinned at me. I swear his face always looks like that of a child on Christmas morning.

I didn't do much throughout the school day. Skipping class, not doing class work, coming in late.. The usual. At the end of the day I decided to go to the library and find a book.

I know I never go to class and could care less about grades but I loved reading for some reason. I loved getting so caught up in someone else's love story or heartbreak. After settling on a book and checking it out I stopped by my locker, got out my leather jacket and headed down the main stairs.

I heard loud noises coming from the gymnasium so I peeked through the long slender windows. I saw a couple guys kicking around a soccer ball (football for the uk). A loud slightly obnoxious laugh rang through my ears making me take a double take of the guys in the gym.

A slightly familiar head of blonde hair caught my attention. When he turned around it was none the less than Niall himself.

Hmm soccer player that's hot. I saw them go pick up their bags lining the wall and walk out the gym doors. Wondering where they went I quietly opened the doors and walked across the gym floor. The chains on my boots were being too damn loud right now. I slowly opened the doors on the opposite side of the gym, the ones Niall went out.

I usually didn't come out these doors because it was a noticeable place and there were always classes in the gym to notice if I was skipping. Slightly confused at where I was I walked down what felt like a thousand stairs before getting to the track and soccer field.

I didn't really care if I was noticed by Niall and his friends. I opened up the chain link fence and walked up the ramp to the bleachers. I went around back and climbed into the press box. I watched as Niall and a few guys from his team passed the ball back and forth making goals and blocking shots. I'm pretty sure the soccer season was already over so I didn't understand why he was still practicing.

I watched for another hour before I saw them pack up equipment and head toward the fence. I walked down the ramp and hopped over the fence so I was ahead of him and his friends. I knew they would be heading to the equipment room so I pretended I'd been sitting by the door the entire time. I saw Niall's blonde hair pop around the corner and then he smiled.

"Whatcha doing here so late?"

"I was supposed to be in detention for skipping gym again today but Mr. Smith never showed up." I lied. I guess he never saw me watching him practice.

"You should have left forever ago." Niall scolded me.

"It's none of your business when I leave." His face seemed to go down. "I'm starving though and I think you should go with me to get a burger." He glanced up from his phone.

"Sounds good. I'll follow behind you."

We walked out the doors and across the street to our designated parking places. I hopped in my car before rolling down the window and watching Niall do the same.

"We're going to the ghetto, but everyone knows me so you'll be fine."

I rolled up my window and sped off not giving him anytime to protest. I could imagine his reaction which made me smile. We drove about 10 minutes before I turned down a small alley, it was a one way street so if someone stopped you'd be stuck. I watched in my rear view mirrors to make sure Niall followed me. He did. The alley soon opened up to a parking lot and there was a small shop title 'Burgess Burgers'. I pulled into a spot and Niall did the same. When I hopped out he spoke up

"I never knew this place existed."

"That's just cause you don't hang around the right people." I smiled.

We opened up the the doors and a bell rang. Burgess came from the kitchen and greeted us with a smile.

"Table for two?" He questioned.

"Yes bitch." I joked.

I've known Burgess and his family for awhile. I was actually the one who said they should open a family business to make their own money and not depend on anyone else for work since the last people they worked for were drug addicts and always in jail. Sometimes I even worked here, whenever someone couldn't make it in or I had nothing else to do so it was a normal thing to call each other bitch. Niall seemed astonished at my foul language.

"What little boy never heard that word before."

I loved teasing him. He was so innocent. Burgess walked us over to a table, handed us menus, and asked what we wanted to drink. I ordered a water and Niall ordered a Pepsi.

"I'll be back in a minute with you drinks and I'll get your order then."

"So why are you so innocent?" I pulled the top of his menu down so I could see his face. He seemed to be blushing.

"I don't know. How I was raised" he said before quickly putting the menu back up.

"You know it's kinda fun not going to school. It's cool pissing teachers off and detention isn't so bad either."

"Emerald, seriously?"

"What? Being a bad ass isn't so bad. It's fun."

"Oh yeah I'm sure it's fun having everyone be scared of you."

"Well you get your way most of the time."I laughed "I promise I will corrupt your innocence before this year is over." Burgess came back over with our drinks so Niall didn't have to reply to me.

"So what can I get you all to eat?"

"I'll have the double cheeseburger/fry combo." I smiled and handed him the menu.

"And I'll have the baconator with large fries." Burgess scribble down our orders and disappeared into the kitchen.
