I was surprised how well Niall and I got along. He didn't judge me too hard on the fact that I wasn't necessarily an innocent angel. I mean he'd cringe slightly every time I cussed or told him about some not so nice things I've done, but that was just his personality.
We for sure got to know each other better and I felt awkwardly comfortable around him. As we were walking our the door to our cars he decided to ask what happened with me and Damon. I hesitated for a couple seconds before saying
"He uhm cheated on me the night of our two year anniversary, and well it was in my bed in MY house."
"That's ridiculous."
"Yeah I can say I was anything but thrilled about it." I clicked the button on my keychain that unlocked my car. I had on leg in and was about to sit before Niall looked at me
"Don't worry he's a bitch anyway." He smirked and opened his car door before getting in. I had no time to speak but all I could think was 'and now the corruption begins.'

*a few months later*
I've texted Niall off and on and we talked a little bit in the hallways. It's been a little more than a month that I've known him.
I don't see Damon around anymore. Everyone says he's in prison for robbing a gas station. He's so stupid.
Cole and Celeste are doing well, I think I heard something about a promise ring. Not 100% sure though.
And Erin is just Erin.. I love her so much. We've all distanced ourselves or at least I have. Erin is probably the one I kept closest to. I kinda went into a slight depression from Damon and just let any relationship I had with anyone go down the toilet.
I'm skipping school after my second class and I'm for sure not going alone... Niall is coming with me.
I walked into Mr. Barker's class about 15 minutes late because I over slept this morning. I smiled back at the already smiling Niall.
After class was over I sent Niall a text: meet me after the next class at my locker okay? It's 210.
As we walked at the door he looked at me and nodded as in approval. I went to the right and headed towards my biology class.
"Hey, Emerald wait up! Emerald!" I turned on my heel to see Niall quickly trying to catch up. "So why do you want to see me?"
I smiled "Cant tell its a secret. But you'll find out."
I walked off without saying anything else. Biology was such boring class so I couldn't have been any happier when the bell rang signaling it was over. I threw my bag over my shoulder and hurried out.
I went right and then up a flight of stairs until I was on the second floor in the hallway where my locker was. I stood there for a moment waiting on Niall. It was taking him awhile so I opened my locker and spritzed some perfume on my neck and reapplied my fading pink lipstick. I shut my locker and saw Niall come around the corner.
"So can you tell me what this is all about Emerald?"
"Yep." I said while popping my lips "You're going skip with me."
"And you've got to be kidding." He spoke back rather quickly.
"And you're probably not going to be happy with my answer because it's no. I'm not kidding." Niall looked flustered.
"Don't tell me you've never wanted to skip before, not have to do class work for a whole day."
*ding ding ding* His eyes widened
"Oh my gosh I'm late for my class Emerald." He tried to run but I grabbed his arm
"All the more reason not to go right?"
I pulled him closer to me and stood on my tippy toes. I placed my hand on the back of his warm neck and planted a kiss on his soft smooth lips. When we pulled away I bit my lip.
"So skip with me Niall?......please?"
He stood there looking off in space and I noticed how pink his lips were now because of my lipgloss. I played with his fingers and then I heard the click of high heels.
"Fuck." I muttered. "They're doing the hallway sweep, Niall we have to go or we'll get written up."
That seemed to bring him back down to earth because he looked at me with a panicked look on his face.
"Come on I whispered, the class next door isn't being used so we can go in there."
I tugged his arm and we quietly made our way to classroom 213. I took my key and opened the door. We crouched down in the corner behind and old desk.
"Emerald I swear if we get caught....." I kissed him so he couldn't finish. "What is wrong with you? Not letting people finish their sentences and stuff."
I could tell he was joking by his tone and he was so cute. We stayed silent until we heard the click of heels pass the classroom.
"You know you have a thing for kissing people." He whispered and lightly chuckled.
"Yeah I do. I have a thing for kissing cute people." I tried to be serious but I couldn't around him.
The classroom we were in was basically abandoned leaving it dark and dusty. Spiderwebs clung to the ceilings and papers sprawled on the floor.
"How'd you get a key to open this class in the first place?"
"I know people." I laughed. Once all teachers were back in their classrooms I stood up and grabbed Nialls hand.
"Come on we're not sitting in this dark classroom all day!"
"Where in the world are you taking me now Emerald?" I dusted my butt off since we were sitting in the floor.
"Niall turn around." His eyes got big
"What?"
"Quit being a baby just turn around." I dusted his butt off too since the lint was obvious on his black pants.
"Now let's go." I tugged his hand once more and we exited the classroom. I pulled him down some side stairs hoping we wouldn't pass anyone. We didn't. I kept a grip on his hand so he wouldn't try to stop me.
"Okay Emerald where are we going?"
"My car, duh!" I rolled my eyes and laughed. We crossed the street and got into my hummer. I zoomed out of the parking lot and headed to the direction of my house. I could tell Niall was nervous because he was fidgeting with his hands. Within a few minutes I pulled into my driveway.
"Your house?"
"Correct blondie"
"And what are we doing here?"
"I don't know..watch movies, make some food. I won't bite."
We made our way to the front door. I stuck my key into the opening and turned the knob.
