Chapter 4:School and Heartbreak

Jackson's POV

Ring,ring!!!

No,it's MONDAY!

I groaned in frustration as I slowly opened my eyes.Grr..I hate Mondays!.I grumpily got out of bed and shut the alarm up. 

Then it suddenly hit me,it was the first day of school.Well,I had been quite nervous lately about starting school here,but I'll probably be fine.I got out of bed and stretched my one tired arm.I wanted to stretch both of my arms,but my right arm is in a cast.I can't wait to get them out in 2 weeks.

Ouch,my arm still hurts!

I quickly got ready for school and quickly dashed down the stairs and grabbed a oat bar from the kitchen counter.

"Why the rush?" mum asked.

Yeah,why are you rushing? My conscience asks.I have no idea.

"Oh I just want to get to school earlier,y-you know,o-organising stuff and all that." I stammered.

"Alright hun,but there's a lot of time until school begins." mum said.

"I know,I know.Bye mum,I love you!" I said and took my bag and dashed out the door.

Jade's POV

My alarm rings.

It's Monday.

Uh-oh,Today's when school starts,I haven't got my stuff ready!

I quickly got out of bed and went to look for my school bag.Nervously,I went browsing through my closet clothes and other pile of crap.

Phew!I got everything.I probably have been having nightmares about starting school.

Sure you did,said my conscience.

"Are you ready to go,hun?" mum asked in the distance.

"Almost....yep done!" I yelled as I adjusted the white ribbon in my hair.

The school colours in St.Johns are white and dark green.I was wearing the white and green summer dress with the school varsity jacket.Totally makes me feel cool.

I scurried down the stairs and sat down to eat my toast with Nutella which was placed on the dining table.I sat down and took a bite and chewed it down.

Wait a second,this isn't Nutella,why does it taste so weird.Ugh,I think the Nutella was expired.I spat out all the contents in my mouth and into a tissue that I held in my hand.

"Mum,the Nutella kinda tastes funny!" I complained.

"Sweetie,that's not Nutella,it's Vegemite.If you don't like it,You can put something else on a new piece of toast." Mum suggested.

"Yes mum,that would be great.I do not like Veggie spread or whatever it's called.I just want Nutella." I said and went to get a the second piece of toast and spreaded the nutella on the top and ate the whole slice.

I cleaned myself up and picked up my backpack and carried some of my books in my arms.

"Bye mum,I love you!" I called out.

"See you at home sweetie,hope you have a great time at school!" Mum replied and waved goodbye.

Jackson's POV

As I closed the door I plugged in my earphones and put them onto my ears and played my music.Whilst I was walking,I hummed to the tunes that was playing.St Johns was only 10 minutes away,which means  I can just walk straight away and it's more convienient.

I was too busy and lost in my world of music,when suddenly I crashed into someone.I got up and saw Jade on the floor with her books on the ground!Oh crap,I'm such an idiot!

"I am SO sorry!Are you ok,babe?" I apologized.

"Oh it's ok.No harm done." She reasurred.

I gave her my hand which she gladly held on and got up.I picked up her books and handed them to her.

"Thank you for helping me.You didn't have to do this." Jade said.

"No problem,Jade.Anytime." I replied,smirking.

And we walked all the way to school blabbing about whatever.

At St.John's......

Jade's POV

OMG,I can't believe it,Jackson just held my hand.I can't stop the excitement running in my head.For once,I started having butterflies in my stomach and had the 'love disease'.I got to school,went to my designated locker and stashed my stuff in there.

Someone tapped me on the shoulder and I turned around.It was a blonde girl who is in school uniform and looked older than me.

"Hello there,welcome to St.Johns.Everyone here are nice people,only some of the school are sluts and dickheads,just don't get involved with them." She said.

"Really?Because I used to get teased every single day and it was horrible." I replied.

"Cool,you have an american accent!Oh,my name's Jessica by the way.And you are?" Jessica asked.

"I'm Jade and it's nice to meet you." I said,smilling.Yes I finally found a friend!

I took my books for english and followed Jessica as she lead me to the classroom.So far I haven't been bullied,I'm so glad I didnt regret coming here.

End of the day....

My first whole day at school went very well.No one made fun of me,no one hurt me.The feeling of having no one hurting me was amazing and it's like I could finally see the light.

As I walked out,Jackson was waiting for me.Weird,I thought he would just walk home.How sweet of him to wait for me!

But then,I saw a blondie,more like a slut, t go up to him and starts to kiss him.I start to die a little inside and starts to walk back home with tears coming out of my eyes.

I guess he's not the one.
