The doctor was picked up by big hands and tossed around in them. I scrambled to my feet, ignoring all the pain and grabbed my crutches. I pulled them up to me and put them under my armpits. Just when I was about to hobble out of the room the thing spoke.

"Leave the girl alone," he snarls, his voice so low it sounded like a boom of thunder. I didn't stop. I hobble to the next room. I look around hastily and slam the door shut.
"Oh yeah? Says who?" snarls the doctor. He sounds like he's in pain. I grab a huge shelf and started pulling on it. It slowly crawls across the floor. My one crutch drops to the ground but I ignore it. I slid the shelf right in front of the door before collapsing in pain and exhaustion. I unwillingly listen to the conversation.
"Eddie said so," the big beast snarls. There was a long silence in which I grab my crutch.
"Oh," is all the doctor replies. I hear something fall on the ground, probably him. A million thoughts race through my head. 'Eddie? Who's Eddie? Are they those eyes? Is he the ringleader? What power does he have in this place?' I press myself against the shelf. There was more silence. Perhaps they are whispering? Then I hear the big beast stomp off. 'Big beast. Yeah I'll call him that,' I decide. I could hear the doctor getting up from the ground. His footsteps were coming closer. Then he thrust his body against the door. I press  the shelf closer to the door with my already weak body.
"Come on out." He said and I could already feel his smile. 'Ok so he isn't afraid of Eddie. Note that.' I make a mental note. Suddenly the shelf seems to move a bit forward. 'Shit, the door will open.' I could still hear him thrusting himself at the door. 'If I don't move the whole shelf will fall on me.' I use the wall to get to my feet. I clutch my crutches and quickly hobble away into the next room. I carelessly close the next door then continue on. 'Don't freak out, you'll make everything worse.' I think as I pass though a room and arrive in the hallway. I stop and listen. The banging had stopped. Maybe he'd give up? I glance down the hallway just as the doctor exits a room further down the clinical hall. 'Shit. Back in the room, back in the room.' I backtrack and look around the room I just came from. 'I need something to hide in! There, a locker.' I pry it open and squeeze myself inside it, taking my crutches with me. I then slowly close the door. Now I can just hope he doesn't find me.... through the slit I can see him moving. He walks to the other end of the room and back. That's when he slams open the first locker. He moves down the line. As he arrives in front of my locker, he peers inside. I shut my eyes, preparing for the worst. After awhile nothing happens. I carefully open one eyes. He's gone. That brainless idiot only checked half of the lockers! I peer through the locker just too make sure before stumbling out of it, with a great bang. I look up too see the eyes staring at me. They're standing at the door. I grab my crutches and slowly hobble forward. With a flicker, they disappear. Honestly, this is getting exhausting.
