"But-"
"How can someone write characters that love so passionately, yet be so completely terrified of love in their own life?" He's whispering, and when I try to take a step back, I bump into the shelves of my closet. Trapped.
"I-I don't love you," I say, my pulse racing.
He looks at me, his eyes glinting with mischief. He presses his hand over my heart.
"Hmm," he says, sliding his hand to my waist, his voice low and quiet in my ear. "I don't believe you."
