Kurt sauntered down the hallway as if everyone's eyes were on him, and well, they were. In his new faux fox fur shawl (no need to get in trouble with PETA), he knew that he was commanding attention. His non-attention getting sidekick, Mercedes Jones, let the spotlight shine on him as it should be. After all, it was his life goal to be a star on Broadway, where everyone would be watching him in awe. This was just practice. Leather gloves and an extreme hat completed the emsemble. Everyone around them were staring, but not necessarily in a good way.
"Kurt, are you sure that this outfit is, uhm, appropriate for school?" Mercedes whispered.
"What do you mean be appropriate? It says precicely in the handbook that you can express your style as long as it follows the guidlines, and I am showing everyone my true personality." Kurt fired back.
"But isn't it a little much?"
By now everyone that had been distracted was staring at them. If his outfit had not been commanding attention, then their little brawl was. And McKinley High students LOVED drama.
"This outfit expresses my future as a performer, which you will probably never experience. While I am singing on Broadway, you will be stuck back here in Lima, trying to raise four children when your husband leaves you!"
By now, Mercedes was in tears. She walked quickly to the nearest bathroom and hoped that no one saw her crying. When she got inside, she heard a girl with a beautiful voice singing scales. Mercedes was tempted to join in, but she held herself back. No one knew about her secret love of singing. Luckily, no McKinley High kids attend her church, so they cannot hear her in choir. However, she has a very beautiful voice that could make Beyonce jealous.
Kurt finished walking down the hallway when three football players approached him.
"Oh, no. Here we go again," Kurt thought.
"We saw you make that black girl cry back there, and that is not okay with us,' the handsomest football player said.
Kurt oogled at his muscles but focused his attention back to the situation before he was embarassed.
"We just had a little argument, thats all. She's ok, I promise!"
"Well, you made her feel blue, now you'll see what that feels like!"
Suddenly, a blue, freezing blast of slushie hit Kurt at full speed.
"Oh my God!" Kurt shouted.
Everyone around him was laughing while he speed walked to the nearest bathroom. The blue slushie was dripping through his hair and stained his new shawl!
Kurt hurried back to his locker while the bell rang to get a change of clothes. Then, an old, crabby teacher spotted him.
"Detention!" She shouted.
"Great," Kurt thought, "That completely ruined my plans to watch What Not To Wear!"
Kurt quickly slid into his History class to see Mercedes, Tina, and Artie glaring at him.
"Haters are a part of showbiz," Kurt thought, then slid down next to them.
