As I got in line to pay for the items I chose, i heard a familiar voice. I couldn't place where I had heard the voice before so I looked around and jumped in shock--a few feet away from me was my ex boyfriend Draven and his boyfriend Aaron.

Just calm down, Ryan! I told myself.

I felt myself reaching into my pocket to grab my cellphone. Before taking my device out, I contemplated whether or not texting Emily but the urge got the best of me. I quickly texted my friend, 'Draven and Aaron are here at Hot Topic just feet from me. Omg they look like shit!'

About a minute later, Emily sent me a text back saying, 'they are shit! I don't know why I ever dated Aaron!'

"Are you in line, sir?" I heard someone ask.

I looked up from the screen and realized I was next to cash out. i walked up to the cashier and paid for the merchandise.

Before started for the exit, the cashier asked me, "Is something troubling you?"

"No, nothing at all," i quickly said as i shook my heard. Girl, I really don't have time to talk to you, I have to hurry up and get back to work!

She brushed her bright red hair out of the way and replied, "Okay, I'm just making sure. Have a nice day!"

As I walked out of the store, I texted Emily back, 'we all make mistakes, Look at Draven and I!!!'

'You're right there!' she replied back.

I walked back to work and for the rest of the day I forgot all about Draven and Aaron.

That night when I got home and got out of my car, I heard a noise coming from the backyard. Since it was the middle of summer and it was still quite warm outside, I had no problem going to check. I walked behind the house but found nothing peculiar. I turned around to head back to the front of the house and was hit square in the chest with so much force that I flew backwards and landed on the smooth, green ground. I tried to get back up but something pinned me to the ground! I tried to struggle against it but to no avail.

"Quit fucking squirming!" I heard the voice of my ex boyfriend Draven say.

Out of shock I stopped moving. Just like earlier today, hearing his voice took me by complete surprise that I couldn't believe it--the guy who used to pin me to the bed a year ago was now doing the same thing to me right now. Right now though it was obviously different.

"Draven, is that you?" I asked.

"Don't worry, this will all be explained later," he said before bowing his head down toward my neck.

I could feel Draven's warm breath on my neck and then excruciating pain. the pain was so immense that seconds after feeling it I passed out.
