The Torture of Blood

When I finally regained consciousness I moved my arms but couldn't. Frantically I looked down at my body and noticed that my wrists, as well as my ankles, were bound. I quickly looked around and recognized Aaron's bedroom, which was in his basement. I was laying on his bed.

Out of dispair I began to cry for help with the small hope that someone would hear me: the person who did hear me was one of the last people I hoped would hear me.

"So, you're finally awake, huh?" Aaron purred.

Aaron was very bizarre looking campared to the general public--despite the large array of piercings he sported, he had pure white hair, which as cut and styled into an extreme mohawk; very pale skin; and always wore the most edgy clothing you could find.

"What the hell is going on?!" I barked. "Why am I fucking tied up?!"

"It wasn't my idea to tie you up, you can thank Draven for that when he gets back."

I tried to struggle against my bindings but knew it was no good.

"What do you and Draven want with me?"

Aaron sat down beside me and smiled. His white teeth glinted in the dim light emanating from his lamp on his nightstand; however his teeth weren't teeth, they were fangs!

I yelped in fear and instintually attempted to jump awake from him but to no avail. I realized that the pain I felt before I passed out was caused by Draven biting me!

"We want to teach you a lesson. I can't wait until Draven gets back so we can make you suffer. The only reason you passed out earlier was because when Draven bit you he used a lot of force. Too much force isn't merciful on the body.

I knew Aaron and Draven were planning on torturing me in a way that no one could have ever imagined.

"Earlier in Hot Topic, Draven read your mind and found out that you were telling that skank Emily how shitty we are," Aaron explained.

"How the hell was he able to read my mind?!" I asked.

"When someone becomes a vampire they develope a special gift. The gift gets passed down from the person who injects the venom into their prey. After the recepient has undergone the tranformation they have that specific power.

I was burning to ask him how he and Draven become bloodsuckers.

"Well, remember our friend Gretchen?" She was bitten while ghost hunting in the cemetary. She told us and we just couldn't turn down the chance to become vampires," Aaron smiled, flashing his fangs again.

"How does that work?" I asked with honest curiosity. "Like, how do you read someone's mind? can you always read minds as if they are just swimming around or do you have to focus on that person?"

Aaron chuckled, "You ask way too many questions, you're extremely nosey, but I guess I could tell you since it might be the last bit of info you get. a person's mind is like a fish--it swims all around. we can latch onto a person's mind and focus on it."

"I don't understand."

"I wouldn't expect someone as pathetic as you to be able to!"

"Shut up!" I demanded.

"Reading minds is a very useful tool, especially when hunting prey!"

I wanted to keep him talking in case I could figure out a nugget of info that could save me.

"So, do you go nuts at the sight and smell of blood?" i asked.

Aaron laughed again, "Some of us probably do, but I just get a kick out of killing and hurting people."
