With a pencil clenched in my hand, I tap absently on the open page as I look dreamily over the harbour. The daily hustle of an early morning flows around me. The business people of the city move with purpose past me, their shoes clicking on the smooth pavement. Watching the ferries come into the harbour has always got me relaxed and just allows me to thing easier, writing songs. But today, today all I can do is think about Dameon. His long black hair, his brilliant green eyes, his charming mischievous smile, his deep chuckles and his perfect voice. Those were the things I loved as a sixteen old girl but those were the things that attracted all the other girls and made them fall all over him as well. At least he never knew and will never ever know about how I feel towards him. A seagull calls overhead standing on the tall lamp post besides the worn wooden bench I was sitting on. A sharp vibration went up my leg and Hunter Wyatt's voice sang 'All for You' from my phone. Wiggling out my iPhone I slide the green 'slide to answer' without looking at the caller ID.

"Hello Penny" a scarily familiar voice said.

I could feel my face pale as the blood rushed from my face. A slight shake possesses my hands as I answer, my voice faint.

"H...hello father"

"It's is nice to talk to you again Penny dear, we haven't talked for so long" my father said cheerfully, like he never altered my life nine years ago.

"I've been busy... Um how are you?" I reply.

"Lovely thank you for asking. Let's get down to business. The courts are releasing me on parole in about two months. I thought my lovely daughter would love to know when she can see me again in the community, being with the father you have always admired and adored." he says.

I can hear faint talking and some rustling as if my dad was holding the phone to his chest.

"I need to go sweetie. I'll come visit you as soon as I get out. Love you " Dad says slowly, making sure I hear every word he says.

The dial tone sounds. He hang up. I choke on my screams as I fumble with the idea he will come see me in the real world again. In the same room. My breathing becomes irregular and strange colours spot my vision. My grip on my phone is gone as it falls to the ground, clattering on the pavement.

"Hey Penny- Woh! Are you OK, Angel?" someone exclaims loudly.

I feel a slight pressure on my shoulders as someone presses softly on them and the seat beneath me groaned quietly. I try shielding away from the person holding me, but their fingers just grip me tighter.

"Hey, hey, hey calm down, angel, just breath." they say reassuringly while I stuggle to breathe.

I do as they say and my vision starts to clear and my breath slows down until I see Dameon looking over me concerned.

"Hey angel" he says.

"Hey"

He bends over and picks up m dropped phone, now with a crack covering the screen dispute the screen protector. He rubs it on his shirt which I notice is casual and he is wearing sunglasses, covering the green eyes which I love. No one is  watching us talk on the bench and no one seems to wanted to help me when I had my panic attack. I never used to have them until nine years ago. Then again, no one who knew me was the same and will never be again.
