I had just headed out the front door when Brett's car had pulled up. I headed towards the car, Brett got out and handed me a rose and opened the door for me, I almost felt like I should of wore the dress. So I got in and buckled my seatbelt and he asked if we were fine going to the movies for a simple date. I said "Sure." and got comfy. He turned on the radio, started the car, and left the driveway.

We got to the theaters and bought our tickets. We we got in he showed me to a spot we can sit in and as the movie began playing I got comfortable in my seat. The movie was almost over and I sort of didn't want to leave. Brett's arm was draped over me and it felt like heaven.

The movie had ended and Brett's drove me home. "Thanks for the movie, it was great," I said. He told me he had fun and walked me to my door. I felt as if I should be kissed but once he leaned in I leaned backwards not forwards. I felt like the best way to get his attention was to stop giving him mine so I refused to kiss him. Kissing him would have been going to fast anyways.

I looked at Brett and he looked pretty shocked.
"Sorry", I said feeling pity. He turned away and just left. I watched as he drove off.

For the next two weeks he has never interacted with me. We would occasionally glance at each other but they would never last more than a few seconds. My heart ached for the kiss I regretted not going along with but still I know that what I did was right.

Just when my heart began to literally die every time I saw Brett(like about three and a half weeks), fate gave me a chance and I took it.

Brett walked over to me. I tried to make it look like I didn't notice but it became harder and harder to contain my excitement once he was standing right in front of me.

"Hi", said Brett. I replied with a simple hey.

"So my friend is hosting a party this Friday and I was wondering if you wanted to come," said Brett and I couldn't help but squeal in my head.... A little out loud too.

-Friday-

"Hurry up," yelled Jessie.

"I'm coming," I shouted back.

We went to school. Bla bla it was normal-I didn't care in other words. All I really cared about was the party I would later be attending with Brett.

-at the party-

Brett took my hand in his once we entered the house... The frat house. He led me to the kitchen, poured me a drink, and led me to another place....the living room. A bunch of kids were sitting in a circle spinning a bottle hoping for a seven-minute-chance to make out with someone. Brett took a seat in the circle and I sat next to him with my legs crossed.

After about fifteen minutes I had still experiences a kissless night and I was beginning to get sort of disappointed. That was until Brett's turn came. Brett spun the bottle and purpose stopped the bottle when it landed on me. Everyone around us "boo"ed but I didn't care. Brett got up, offered me his hand, and took me to "heaven"-the closet.

I had shut the door behind and at the same second I was turned. I looked to find Brett staring me in the eyes. As his lips crashed onto mine I felt a rush down my spine. Fireworks ignited in my body and before I knew it the seven minutes were up. The kiss never broke. It. Never. Broke. I couldn't believe it. I wished it was longer but unfortunately the bottle had to be spun again and someone else would have their turn in "heaven."
