"Mom, I'm going to school not my wedding." I sighed in annoyance.

"Can you blame me? This is the first day of your last year in high school! I'd be excited if I were you." She nudged me.

"It's high school mom, not college." I grumbled under my breath. "You know what, I'm going to school now. See ya." I yelled as I shut the door to the garage. I picked out a red Ford from the number of cars and dumped my bag into the back seat. I drove out of the garage when the gates opened automatically and headed for school.

I stepped out to meet the crowded front of the school and made my way to my locker as random students greeted me. I wouldn't say I am popular. I just know a lot of people in this school.

"Michael! Where in the world have you been? My best friend, Logan asks right when I opened my locker.

"Just came, why?"

"Well, you see, I got this problem with my calculus homework..."

"I'll give you mine for today alone because it's too late to explain it now but you've got to come over sometime." I said picking the said book from my bag and handing it to him.

"You're the best, man." He jogged away and I shook my head at him. The dude is a genius but he just can't get his priorities straight. If you put his homework and something as petty as a bag of Oreos next to him, he'd most likely pick the Oreos. Stupid decision, I know!

I turned to walk to my class when someone bumped into me. "I'm sorry, I didn't see —" I froze as I stared into the bright emerald eyes which had captivated my entire being.

"You can let go now." She chuckled. "Or, if you'd like to go over some...extra curricular activities, we could jump over the wall." She winked atJ me and sauntered away with her hips moving so...sensually.

"Dude, do you know who that was?" Logan slapped me on the back.

"No, why?" I asked with my eyes still on the spot where she had recently been occupying.

"You have got to get social, Mike. Anyway that was Victoria Davidson. The only person in this school to have everyone at the tip of her fingers. Or more like the bat of her lashes. She's even got the principal on a golden plate!"

"How?" My puzzled expression baffled him to no extent.

"I'm sure she has her ways." He turns to lead me away to our first class for the day.

I couldn't help but wonder what one could do to have so much power even over authorities in this school. Her parents could be rich. That would explain a lot but it didn't quite seem like that would be it. I huffed and shook the thoughts out of my head. I need to focus on my studies this being my last year so such thoughts were proven unnecessary.

I shrugged and headed towards class. Taking a seat in front of the class (don't judge, it's easier to hear the teacher over the noise of those who refuse to listen—usually sitting in the middle and at the back—here), I began to organise my stuff as more students stepped into class. Finally our chemistry teacher walked in and started class.
