"What do you mean they haven't found him?" Grady yells into his walkie-talkie. "You found the damn Strode girl and Loomis!"
"Chief we cleared over half of the Right Wing, there's no trace of Myers." Harker's voice floats out of the radio. "No charred remains, no body, nothing."
"Brackett!" Grady barks into the radio, "You listening to this? You got any activity up there?"
"Nothing. No sign of Myers anywhere else around the area. My men have been watching every possible exit." Brackett calls back.
"Matthews? Tell me you got something?"
"We got a couple banged up nurses and a few patients with some scrapes. Overall the Left Wing isn't in bad condition, Chief'." Matthews responds.
"Well that's just fantastic! We got eyes on this whole place inside and out and nobody has seen jack shit!" Grady looks around the parking lot and spots Robert Mundy hunched over a body lying on the ground. What the hell is he doing?
Mundy looks around the parking lot for someone he can get some information out of and his eyes find an unattended body lying on the pavement. "Hey look over there." He tells his cameraman Marco.
"Should we check it out?" Marco asks, but before he can finish Mundy is already jogging over to the body.
Marco catches up to him and peers down at the badly burned man. "Oh shit." Mundy crouches down and puts his hand on the man's neck to check for a pulse, the man cries out. Mundy falls back on his ass and looks up at Marco whose eyes are as wide as dinner plates. "Oh shit!" Marco repeats. "He's alive?"
"Okay buddy, it's okay, we're here. We're going to get a doctor right away. Can you tell me your name?" Mundy asks.
Marco glances at the burned man's chest, spots the name tag then reads it out loud. "Jimmy."
Mundy looks up, "You know him?"
"No, he's wearing a name tag cabrón." Mundy notices the name tag and rolls his eyes.
"Listen Jimmy we're here to help. Can you tell us what happened? How did you get out of there?"
Jimmy's eyes flutter open and he looks at Mundy. "Laurie." He croaks.
"We should really call a doctor over here man!" Marco cries.
"Shut up!" Mundy hisses at him. "He's trying to say something!" He leans in closer to hear Jimmy.
"Myers...fireman..." Jimmy starts to fade but Mundy gently shakes him.
"What about Myers? Stay with me bud!"
Jimmy goes out.
"That's it man, that's it!" Marco panics. "Hey we need help over here!" He starts jumping up and down and waving his hands in the air. He spots Grady marching right at them.
"Hey! What the hell are you two doing over there?" Grady hollers at them. Mundy gets to his feet and does his best concerned voice.
"Chief Grady, thank God! This man here is badly injured. We saw him laying unattended and rushed over to help him. He needs a doctor quick!"
Grady eyes Mundy then Jimmy, then looks back to Marco who looks about as nervous as a cow in a slaughter house. He bends down and takes Jimmy's pulse, still alive. He turns and yells for Linklater to come quick then turns back to the news reporter. "I saw you talking to him. What did he say?"
