Remnants

Dreams

In the darkest of night

Whispers silently from the light

All lost, in the eternity that is time

A last regret lingering

Crying for something that was left unfinished

Yet, it too won’t last

No different than a morning shadow

“At the beginning of another dreary day

I returned to the same dream”

Faced with the looking glass

Reality blurs into two

One bears false, the other swears by it

Remembrance of happy and sad times

Oh lily of purity

Blossoming most divine under Luna’s gaze

How serene, how enthralling, how benevolent

Rupturing the looking glass

“Year, after year, after year

I’ve waited, for a dawn that will never come”

A blue glass moon, shimmers under the crimson air

It would seem there is a future beyond pretend

Living only for memories, falling into insanity

I will cry, until I can no longer hear my own voice

Rolling back around to a nonsense speaker

All my wounds will never heal

Slowly turning the ‘me’ into ‘lies’

Bearing witness to what is unforgivably

“Puncturing the deathless, a new morning is glowing, ever hoping, again”

The stage lights up, the audience waits with baited breath, and the mic calls from the center light

“You think of tearful partings, when they left you here below”

Nowhere left to hide, reality is chosen, bells ring out, demons slink back; this is my realm reborn
