"...Rin, Obito," The black-haired boy with orange goggles that you presumed to be Obito looked up happily, while the girl named Rin smiled kindly. "And Kakashi." Immediately, Obito's face fell, and you clearly noted that the rest of the girls in the class seemed to have also been disappointed, except for Rin, whose cheeks glowed a bright red as a smile radiated from her lips. You scoffed, looking away from the sight. The ridiculous things love does to a person. Then again, your mother died at an early age (a mere coincidence, because Kakashi's mom passed early on too), so you were never introduced to the concept of love or butterflies in one's stomach, or other cheesy gross things like that.

"In Team Choza, Genma, Ebisu, and ______." You grinned at the other two boys, while your instructor straightened his papers, the edges hitting the desk to silence the children. "Well, that's it." You blinked before looking at Gai, whose face immediately faltered, and you stood from your seat. "Sensei, I think you forgot Gai!" Your instructor looked down on you from the tint of his black glasses, something that annoyed you greatly.

"I did not forget Gai, Mr. Might has simply failed the entrance exam and will not be able to move forward." Gai's lips slipped downwards and he shook as the other kids teased and laughed, irritating you by each passing second. You slammed your fist on the table, shutting everyone up, and the instructor looked at you in shock; you were so well-behaved in classes. "Well then, I quit too!" Gasps surrounded the classroom, and even Kakashi's half-lidded eyes opened wide, shocked by your statement. Your instructor spluttered for words, trying to gain his composure. "T-that's preposterous, you have clearly passed Miss ______. Do not complicate things, Gai simply does not have the skill to become anything greater but a genin."

"Well, I don't care. I'm not leaving my best friend like this." Pushing his glasses up, the instructor's tone went dead stern, and he was clearly irritated, yet you stood your ground. "Miss ______, do you not understand that if you do this, you'll possibly be a genin forever?!" Your eye twitched; you clearly had enough of his rude beliefs on status. You couldn't care less about that. "Well, sensei, did you know that people that leave their friends behind are trash?!"

"Who told you that?!" "Who else?! My father! And I don't have to believe whatever you say, I think he's right!" "People who fail to follow rules are trash. People who can't complete missions are trash. You, are trash." Everyone turned to look at Kakashi, who gave you the coldest eyes you've received from him. Angered, and deeply hurt (not like you would reveal that to anyone), you launched yourself at him. "Why you piece of shi-" Gai held you back, covering your mouth and shielding the innocents from the muffled curses bursting from your mouth.

"SILENCE!" The class grew quiet and tense, and your instructor stared you down with intense displeasure, before sighing and scribbling something down on his page. "Might Gai...placed as the fourth member of Team Choza." You blinked in amazement, half of your rage vanishing in an instant. The instructor's eyes narrowed down at you. "However, I expect him to drastically improve by the chunin exams. I'm expecting great things from you, _______." You scoffed before being engulfed in a huge hug, granted by Gai as you could feel his tears through your shirt, and you smiled softly behind your mask, patting his head. Kakashi noted how your eyes softened, perceiving that you were happy. However, when you turned to glance at him, your eyes turned firm and mischievous; presumably giving you a smug look. He scoffed and turned away; he didn't want to shame himself into dealing with this.

"Now that that's done and over with, gather into your groups and head outside to meet your new leader." Kids scrambled to find their teammates, and you looked over to Gai, courage filling you as he looked at you with a newfound determination. "Yo. I'm Genma." A lazy-eyed kid with a senbon trapped between his teeth stalked over to you and Gai, his posture cool and composed. On the other side, an uptight, stiff kid stalked over, clearly showing distaste for your confrontation with the instructor. "I-I'm Ebisu." You smiled with your eyes as kindly as you could, knowing they wouldn't be able to see your mouth. "I'm ______, and this is Gai. I'm pretty sure you two already knew that." The other two nodded, and with a silence of agreement, you all headed out to meet the leader of Team Choza.
