Harper's POV

I woke up in a dark, damp room. I remembered what situation Angelo and I were in and silently cried.
I heard someone whisper, "Sissy?"
I looked around the room to see if anyone else was there. Thankfully it was just me and Angelo. I sat up and saw Angelo laying there crying.
"Angelo are you okay?"
"No, I'm scared."
"I know you are. It's going to be okay though."
He crawled over to me. I quickly pulled him to me in a hug. I kissed his head and said, "Don't worry, I'm going to protect you."
I jumped as someone opened the door.
The man wasn't masked this time.. I knew exactly who it was.
Josh.
"So I see Adele's little bastards are sadly awake now."
"What do you want?"
"To get to Adele, get money, kill you guys, the norm."
"You're so sick. You kill everyone I love. You know what you're taking me, not them."
Angelo was now sitting beside me on the ground. Josh walked over to us then stopped right in front of me. Before I could do anything he slapped me. I fell over and he started kicking me.
Through tears I choked out, "St- stop please!"
"It's either you or your brother."
"Don't you dare hurt him."
He kicked me hard in the chest then I heard him kick Angelo also. I heard Angelo scream in pain. The man laughed then walked out. My chest felt tight so I couldn't really breath but I had to see how Angelo was.
"Hey Angelo, I know it hurts. I'm sorry."
He nodded while still crying. I picked him up and sat him on my lap. His head was buried in my neck.
I grabbed him tighter as the door opened again.
"Come on. Get up. Put the kid down. Grab his hand."
Josh harshly grabbed my wrist and pulled me up. I gripped Angelo's hand tightly.
I whispered, "It's okay. Stay with me, and listen to anything I say."
Angelo nodded.
He dragged us down a dark hall to another room. It looked just like the other room if you ask me. He took us in then shoved me to the ground. I felt my head hit the ground hard. Then my whole world went black.
I woke up some times later. This time I was sitting in a chair, tied up. I looked to my left to see Angelo awake crying.
I scooted my chair where I could see him.
"Angelo, look at me. I'm so sorry, but don't cry. I'm going to get that mean man to let you go. Okay?"
"Really, how?"
I heard someone say, "Ya, how are you going to get the mean man to let him go?"
I rolled my eyes then faced Josh. He slapped me across the face. This time I came right back up.
"Just let him go. Keep me, kill me I don't give a fuck. I just want my little brother safe with Adele and Simon. All I'm asking. You can do whatever you want to me."
He got at least one inch away from my face.
"Anything?"
"As long as he's safe."
"Who could get him besides Adele or Simon?"
"My boyfriend. I know his number."
"Okay, give it to me."
I told him the number then he untied my hands so I could text him.
As he told me what to say I texted "It's Harper. Eric, I need you to listen to me. Go to the park at seven tomorrow night. Around the trees Angelo will be there. You get him then take him to Adele and Simon. Don't bring anyone along."
He immediately responded
"Harper, let me help you. Adele and Simon miss you. Just tell me where you are. Are y'all hurt?"
I replied
"We're both fine. Just do what I say, Eric. It's for the best. I promise."
He only said
"Okay."
Josh snatched the phone out of my hand then tied my hands back up.
"You guys should sleep."
Angelo whispered, "I'm hungry."
I hoped he wasn't heard, but I was sadly so wrong. Josh spun around, staring Angelo dead in the eyes. He started beating Angelo. I yelled for him to stop but I was useless. I cried and screamed as Angelo did the same.
Finally after twenty minutes of constant beating he finally stopped. Angelo looked so hurt and weak. It broke my heart that there was absolutely nothing I could do. Josh finally left the room.
"Angelo, I need you to look at me. You're going to be okay. You're going to get out of here tomorrow."
"B- but Sissy. Where will you be?"
"I'll be here."
"I'm not leaving you."
"Yes, yes you are. That mean man is going to take you to the park, Eric is going to come get you, and then you'll be home with Mummy and Daddy. Trust me, I'll see you soon."
"Sissy.."
"Just try to get some sleep Angelo. I'll protect you. I love you, night."
"Night Sissy. I love you."
