Sylica crawled slowly towards the top of the hill where the ruins were
"Got contact chaac?"
"Don't worry I see you and I see what seems to be the alpha" chaac said calmly and sarcastically as he aimed down on his sniper toward the hoard of beowolfs from where they were at previously
"Just mark the signal and I can take out most of them, make sure to cover my back"
"Alright then, here we go..."
There was a few moments of silence before a sudden loud crack of what sounded like thunder echoed through the forest
Chaac aimed down on the head of the alpha and the bullet strikes through its armor plating and skull killing it instantly as sylica runs towards them while the beowolfs scrambled in panic
"Nice fucking shot chaac!" Sylica yelled as she plunged her sword into a beowolfs chest and throwing metal shrapnel at two more controlling the prices by causing them to cut them up then still using the rail gun of her sword still inside a beowolf killing 2 more with the explosion
"Behind you!" Chaac shot a beowolf trying to attack sylica from the back, cocking his sniper as the chamber went to the next and he quickly shot another
Sylica finished it up by breaking her sword into sharp shrapnel and using her magnetic semblance to throw them hard like throwing stars, penetrating into the wolfs as she violently moves them around shredding them apart
"Nice job cleaning the rest out I'll come over now"
Chaac got down and reached the hill as Sylica was waiting for him
"Nice sniping, most snipers can't kill beowolfs body shots. Let alone through the plating and skull, how you do it?"
Chaac skilled and explained proudly
"My sniper is full of power, that sound of thunder is my gun, sure it's not stealthy but it kills easily it can also be a railgun!"
"Wow railgun buddies" she clanked her sword with his axe like glasses
Chaac laughed and moved toward the relics
"So which one should we take?"
"How about the jet black horse"
"Alright then whatever you say"
Chaac took the knight piece and threw it to Sylica which she caught
"Let's go partner, race you there" she quickly disappeared in the direction they came from and Chaac followed in hot pursuit but after 10 minutes of running they decided to stop and rest
"Wow Sylica you sure are fast" chaac said tired as he sat down under a tree and prepared to meditate
"Thanks chaac, i try, what are you about to do?" She replied between pants
"Meditate, it always helps regain energy and keeps my body loose"
"Maybe I should try it too" she sat down next to chaac and tried to copy him but chaac sighed and opened his eyes
"I can sense you aren't fully cleared from your mind"
"Just a lot of things you know like getting into beacon in still kinda freaking out about that and meet new friends of course"
"Well me too but if you truly want to meditate correctly you must not think but accord only live in the moment nothing else. That's how you can battle to the fullest"
"Alright I'll try"
Sylica did manage to clear her head but only for a few moments before both her and chaac heard loud thumps coming their way and a animals cry
"You hear that"
"Yeah it sounds big...and heading towards us!"
They both quickly jump up and draw their weapons facing where the sound came from and the sound became louder and louder and between the trees they saw something big approaching
"Wait a minute could it be?" Chaac squinted trying to see past the trees
"What is it chaac what?!" She sounded panic
Chaac me eyes widen and he pushed Sylica to the side and jump away too
"Move!"
Suddenly a pakaderm grimm charged through knocking down trees easily and dropping off two familiar faces
Riley was the first to get up and help Akari out
"Hey Akari you ok?"
"Yea I'm fine, I think it's going to make another round"
"Akari! Riley! Hey!" Chaac walked over with Sylica
"Hey Chaac!" They both said and hugged him before Chaac broke the hug
"Hey guys this is my teammate Sylica she's a very good fighter in glad I got paired up with her"
Chaac didn't notice but secretly Sylica was blushing and trying her absolute best to hide it
"Nice to meet you Sylica"
"Hey think we can continue this chat later there's a 12 foot 2 ton Grimm with 7 feet long sharp tusks about to charge at us!"
"Right cmon Sylica looks like we have a real fight now!"
