Stephen's POV

I get up and fixed myself. Getting ready for school. I fixed my things, and put them inside my black backpack. I got to go to school, I must show her that I'm not affected of what happend and to show her that she was lying. I must show her and slap the truth on her face!

***Yesterday in Bedroom***

I decided to open up the door for him. "Hey bro." Jeff entered my room. And continue to talk. I am speechless, I don't know what to say. I'm trying to be careful of my words too, trying not to hurt him. "Bro. I am speaking here while you don't listen back. What's wrong?"

"Sorry Jeff. I just need some clarifications." I said honestly.

"Like what?"

"I...I..." I paused and thinking what will trying to say.

"Oh, I see. Just why your mom called me."

"What?" I said.

"Stephen, I can be here if you need me. What for, that we are friends?"

"Okay. So you want to know what was really happening? Fine. I'll tell you!" I screamed with madness.

"Hey, I'm just talking, nothing offensive. Don't be mad."

"Don't be mad?" I stood up. "Do you think I won't get mad if I knew that you and Katniss were dating?" I burst out.

"What are you talking about Stephen? I don't know what you were saying. Besides, I'm not dating Katniss."

"What? She said it to me awhile ago."
I said to him calm this time.

"What? She's lying Stephen. Please don't ruin our friendship on this kind of lie. I don't even touch her you know that."

"Yes... I know. I'm sorry, I must trust you." I honestly said.

"It's okay Stephen, I understand. But please don't believe her. I have my girl now and I love her. I don't even know Katniss full name and her age, and I'm not interested."

"I'm so sorry bro. Maybe I'm so much depressed right now. But why will she lie about your secret relationship?"

"Stephen. I don't bring her out with She's absolutely lying. I'm serious..."

"Yes I see. I'm sorry again bro. I promise you that I will never believe on that b****!"

"Bro stop throwing such awful words like that. It's not good to hear."

"Sorry again." I said as he patted my right shoulder and continue his story about his date with Billie last week. I think he really loves her. I can feel it too. He always give her presents, flowers and many more to show his love for her. And this Billie, does fine too.

***Present***

I drove my car until I got here in school, St. John Academy, a high-standard school here in Boston. I don't let my sister ride with me, she had her own driver to take her in.

So, I parked my car in the space next to the building where I usually parked. I don't see any shadows of students over here. Maybe I am late again. I entered an elevator and pressed the third floor button. After five minutes, I reached the designated floor. I walk through the hallway and there is still no sign of the students. I saw Katniss and she accross my path. I just ignored her. I don't imagine her reaction and I don't even care anyway.

As I reached our classroom, I knocked down first to show respect. Jeffrey opened the door for me and there is no sign of a teacher inside. I entered and sat on my designated chair. I sat beside Laimer, a good friend of mine and Jeff. He sat between us every class.

"Hey Stephen. Why you were late?" Laimer asked me.

"Maybe I took shower too long." I said honestly.

"Oh I see. I heard about you and Katniss."

"Yes? Tell me what you heard. Make sure it's true." I replied.

"I heard you end up with her."

"Yes, it's true. I can't stand with a girl who kissed my friend. And what more? Having my friend as a reason to break up? Come on. I can give it to her easily, but why she involved Jeff."

"So do you think Jeff has something to do with it?" Laimer asked.

"Why did I hear my name?" Jeffrey butted in.

"Nothing, he's just asking why I end up with that b****!" I said. Then Jeff gave me an angry look because of my word.

"I see. Laimer, he told me that Katniss made me as her alibi to end up their relationship. But she never win in Stephen's heart, I thanked him for trusting me." Jeff added.

"Thank You too, Jeff." I said.

"Oh, I see... You believe in each other. I like a kind of friend like that." Laimer butted in.

"Why? You're one of us. Nothing to worry about. You already have." I boast. We laughed together as I said.

"So, it's already eight am. Should we go?" Rey interrupted the conversation.

"Hey bro." I, together with Jeff and Laimer, stood up and gave him a fist bump. Rey was one with us too.

"Hey, you went here just in time." Jeff said.

"I almost forgot. What time will be our first subject?" I asked.

"We don't have any subject today. The teachers attended an emergency meeting for this upcoming Tour." Jeff answered.

"Yes. And this day will be absolutely great!" Rey added.

"Yes. You're right. Let's go to the public library and browse some." I said.

"Browse what?" Rey asked.

"Is it about Math? I like it. Let's go." Jeff butted.

"No I prefer Literature." Laimer added.

"Well, you should go what you prefer. And I'll go mine." I said boastfully as we enter the elevator through the ground floor.

"By the way. What would you prefer?" Rey asked me again.

"Girls." I replied. They just starred at me with their shocked faces.
