Chapter 20

Alice POV

"GREY!" I shouted, tears streaming down my bruised cheeks. His eyes are scanning at me, looking for any injuries. I could feel his warm stares as he trails his eyes all over my body. Then his eyes became as black as the blackest paint you will ever find, as his eyes landed in my leg.

"Alice babe, who did this to you" he said trying to keep his cool. Even though I know he wants to rip everything in sight. "The guy standing right next to me" I said while a little out of breath.

"Well well well, look at who decided to show up, if it isn't the alpha wanna-be. As you can see here, I was gonna have my fun until you interrupted our little session here. If you wouldn't mind sitting on the chair next to you, and enjoy the show..I mean if you want to of course" his smirk played on his lips as he said those things.

"If it isn't the rogue I banished from my territory" Grey said back to the guy Dawn. Dawn just nodded his head slowly. "Exactly! I am that rogue. The rogue that got his mate killed by your own hands. She never did anything to you. She was my treasure, my everything and you took it from me! When I heard you found your mate, I came up with a plan of killing her too. Like how you did to my mate! Making you feel the same way I did of losing your mate!" Dawn said in one big breath.

Grey killed his mate? Why would he? "Grey what is he talking about?" He was silent.

"A little fun fact for you little girl. My mate, was your sister. This alpha wanna-be killed her. Killed her with out a second thought that in the future you were going to be his mate." Dawn told me. I looked over at Grey, and he looks away. "What do you mean sister? I only had 1 brother" I looked at Dawn, demanding for an answer.

"When you guys came over for a family vacation. You were pretty young. We met each other and like most mates, we fell in love. I wanted to be with her. But one day she went missing so I asked that alpha where she went. No one said anything about where she was. When I went looking for her, I went into the cellars are found her chained up. Bruised, bleeding, scared, with silver hangers." Dawn said. As he was going to continue, Grey interrupted, "that's enough" he shouted. But Dawn
continued.

"The alpha came into the cellars and found me trying to unchain my mate and attacked us. We fought but he was alpha so I was yet to weak to beat him. I begged him to let my mate go but then he said, 'if you love your mate so much you should be given the opportunity to watch me kill her'. I got held down by some guards as I watched him killed my mate slowly. As she cried out in pain. I had to watch all of that happen right in front of me!" I looked at him in horror.

I was speechless. I looked at Grey, then at Dawn. "Grey...is all this true?" I asked him slowly, felling the need to cry then. He nodded and I started crying. My mate was a monster like all rumours. Grey just looked at me sadly. "I had my reasons" he said loudly. I looked at him again. "I mean yes I did kill her but she killed my friend. After they had sex, she killed my best friend." Dawn had a disbelieving emotional face. He then yells out, "THATS NOT TRUE!" Grey just then said again that it was true.

"I would of felt if she mated with someone else. She's not some whore!" Dawn trying to not believe what Grey just told him. "But did you ever marked her?" Dawn shakes his head. "Exactly! You would have not felt that. I walked into the room wanting to go out for a movie when my best friend was murdered right in front of me!"

"THATS NOT TRUE!" Dawn yelled, charging at Grey. Grey dodged and hit Dawn in the stomach. It was a hard painful punch to the stomach and I'm pretty sure you could hear some organs turning into liquids. Dawn coughs out blood lots of bloods.

Dawn then held a smile and whispers something to Grey and then his life was ended. I started to cry because I was finally saved, and probably because I was embarrassed that I was still chained up naked.

Grey got the chains to come off me and carried me bridal style and outside of the place. When we reached outside, of course there were blood everywhere. I hid my face against Grey's chest and fell asleep with his scent engulfing me.

~When Alice wakes up~

I woke up with Grey sleeping soundly next to me. I tried moving closer but I'm pretty sure I had lots of bruises now. So I just stayed where I was at and poked him on the nose. He was so cute in his sleep. He opened his eyes slowly and smiled. "Good morning sweet cheeks" he purred out. His voice in the morning is so sweet too.

I don't know why I wanted to erase this mate bond. Why did I run away? I could of talk this with him about it and be done with and I would of woke up every day with him by my side. I looked at him and smiled. "Morning my lovely. I was thinking..." I trailed off.

"Yes?" He questioned. "How about if we started over?" His face brights up. And he answer calmly, "I would like that." And we cuddled more and enjoyed the moment.
