Chapter 2 ~ Emaline Darkstar ~

Emaline Darkstar

I threw the knife and it planted itself in the wall. My father was at a meeting, a meeting with some man. I stayed out of it...most of the time.

I heard the Maserati pull up at the front of our manor. My father climbed out and walked towards the main entrance. He came up the winding staircase and slipped himself into the weapons room, the same room I was in. He doesn’t even bother going to my room now, Im always in here.

"Emaline?" He said in a strong tone

"Yes father?" I said, coming out from behind the cases of weapons.

"I have a few people I would like you to meet, I will need you to stay with them while I go away with a boss from another company" He said

I sighed and turned my head, refusing to look at him.

"I will be helping him out and if things go well we will be joining the company he owns, you will meet 3 other children your age"

"You will come with me and you will be pleasant, you will do exactly as I say or else" He practically yelled into my face. I nodded and headed to pack my bag.

I put the things I would need into a bag. The other things that were in the bottom of my cupboard I simply threw in the bin as I walked out of my room. But it would work out and I would never see this house again. I stepped into the Audi that Rasikiah was driving. He leaned over and kissed my cheek.

"Bye Em" He said, seconds before my father got into the car.

We flew along the road, my head pounding with pain. It seemed like forever, but we finally go to the manor. I was in my best clothes I owned. My short black dress with heels. In my hands was my dagger. I was twirling that around in my hand when we arrived. My bag was taken inside and I followed father inside the manor. It was late, but he seemed to not care. Inside was just like any other manor, beautiful. I walked towards the tall guy in the black suite. My dad started talking to him and I simply stared at the ground.

"Hello Emaline" The man in black said. He shook my hand then called for a person named Tessa.

"Emaline, I would like you to meet Tessa, Luce and Xander" He said.

They all rounded the corner and saw me for the first time. I stepped out from behind my father and looked at the girl. She was very beautiful. The golden haired boy, Luce, had his hand around her waist.

"Taken" I muttered to myself. One more boy was rounding the corner. I gave him a look and he stopped dead in his tracks. He pulled back, not quite sure what to do. I lowered my head and he started towards me. He had gorgeous black hair and shining blue eyes. He looked quiet, his body was very muscly and his black shirt was clinging to his abs. He gave me another look, but I was not quite sure what it meant.

"Hi, Im Xander, Xander Deveacia" He said

"Emaline Darkstar" I said. He gave me a warm smile and stood beside me. The girl seemed wary and confused. She looked at me strangely and I looked back at her. She introduced herself then took her position beside Luce.
