She smiled a fake smile. Was it selfish of her to want him to stay? She knew she had no right to feel that way. But, she was slowly plucking up the courage to tell him how she felt and now she didn't know if she should. He was leaving so what was the point? She would just be his best friend until he leaves. They can just hang out and have no drama. The feelings she had needed to be pushed aside. She couldn't lose him nor this friendship, it was too precious to her.
At least she finally admitted to herself that she loved her best friend.
