Tom cupped Briar's cheek while the Cabi put his stuff in the trunk taxi.
"I'll be back before you know it." He whispered while looking into Briar's doe brown eyes.
The girl searched for reassurance in his eyes, when she found it she smiled up at him shyly and gave him a firm nod.
Tom looked from her lips to her eyes, asking if he could kiss her, she nodded her head and closed her eyes. Every time they kissed it felt like the very first time and it always left her out of breath. She wished the kiss could've lasted longer but their air supply was running short and the taxi was about to leave.
"Promise?"
"I promise."
