Chapter 2: It's (not) a date!

Because I have a weird job where I have to travel a lot, I don't really have my own place, so I have a room in my brother's apartment. So, basically I live with him and Caspar in London.

I am always the first one up. I get up, do my morning routine and get some coffee and breakfast. Caspar and Joe must have had a meeting today since they were both up, scrolling through their phones.

"Morning Oli!" Caspar said.
"Morning sis!" Joe said.
"Morning guys!" I replied. "Why are you two up so early?"
"We had a meeting." Joe answered my question.
"So, Oli, what are your plans for today?" Caspar asked me.
"I don't really have any. All I know is I'm meeting Ali after lunch for coffee." I replied.

Alice is my best friend, apart from Troye. I've known her since primary school and we've been best friends ever since. She is like a second sister to me. Even though we went our seperate ways in college , we are still really close. She turned out to be a news ancor in New York, so you can say we are both working in the showbussines world. She is in London for a few days so we decided to meet up.

"Great! I was thinking maybe you and I could go to the movies." The second part he whispered in my ear, only for me to hear. "There's this new horror movie and I hear it's awesome, but I'm too scared to go watch it alone and I don't want anyone to know this, so please don't say anything." He finished.

"Sure Casp!" I said.

I was never scared by horror movies, so I had no problem with watching them. They were more like fun, to me.

"When are we going?" I asked.
"What time do you want? 9:30 or 8:00?" He said.
"Oh Caspar, my dear boy! Who goes to see a horror movie at 9:30? Are there any later projections?" I said.
"Well, there is one at 11:00 and another one at midnight." He replied.
"Midnight, it is!" I said confidently. "Unless, you're too scared to go see a horror movie at midnight?" I teased him playfully.

"Olivia Anabelle Sugg!" He fake gasped. "Is this a challenge? Because if it is, BRING. IT. ON." Caspar said in a challenging voice. We both laughed and recived some strange looks from Joe.

"What are you two laughing about?" Joe asked all serious.
"We're just going to the movies! There's a new horror movie that came out a few days ago." I said. Caspar gave me a look that said how do you know when it came out?' and I just smiled at him.

"Is Calivia real?" He teased us. Calivia is our ship name even though Caspar and I are just friends.
"Is Jaspar real?" I answered both serious and teasing. They both gave me a look which can only be dicribed as annoyed. I smiled at them.

"So Casp! It's a date!" I said as I walked away.
"It's a date!" He shouted my way.

I arived at Starbucks and grabed a table. Ali was not there yet so I opened twitter and started scrolling through the news. I was reading people's thoughts on the Talvin twitter feud when a waitress interrupted me taking my order. I ordered iced coffe, my favourite, and continued scrolling through twitter.
"BOO!!!" I heard and almost fell of my chair.
"You gave me a heart attack!" I said while Ali was taking a seat.
We both started laughing as we pulled into a hug.
"I missed you sooo much!" She said.
"I missed you too much!" I replied. The last time I saw her was when we were shooting in Perth in Australia and she had to go there on a bussines trip.

"So how are you and James?" She asked. James is well, now my ex. We've been dating for two and a half years. We broke up because he couldn't handle me travelling all the time and I don't blame him. When you do my job or similar jobs, it is hard to be in a relationship. I didn't tell Ali because she was really busy so we didn't have the time to talk, plus the breakup was recent.

"I've been meaning to tell you, but you were so busy we didn't get to talk. James and I broke up." I said
"Oh my god, what happened? Are you okay? You guys were my OTP! You were the real deal! At one point I seriously thought he was going to propose." She said.
"Yeah, I'm fine. There was a bad time, but I got through that. James couldn't take it anymore. He couldn't cope with me travelling all the time. So I let him go. It was only fair. I couldn't keep him from finding someone who makes him happy when I knew we didn't have a future. We got into a fight and well, one thing lead to another and... We broke up." I said.

What she didn't know, and I wouldn't tell her was that, she's right. He did propose. But I couldn't say yes. I knew that we weren't ready and he proved me that. I knew that as long as it bothers us that much that I'm travelling a lot, we would never be the real deal. And now that he popped the question, there was no turning back. I knew that it would never be the same, that it would hurt him too much.

"Are you okay?" Ali snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Yes. When it happened, I was completly broken. Million peaces. I didn't want to come out of my room, or even out of my bed. I didn't eat. Basically, all I did was sleep and cry. I didn't even answer my phone. Troye came over from his tour, even though I told him not to come because he would be completly jet-legged, as what happened, but he still came. He was the first one to get me to speak to someone instead of cry. He along with Joe, Caspar and Zoe got me back on my feet." I said.

"Why didn't you call me?" She asked me almost dissapointed in my choises.
"Ali you were busy and I didn't want to hold you back." I was talking when I was interrupted by Ali.
"HEY! Listen to me right now!" She spoke as if she was ordering me. "You are not holding me back. You could never hold me back. If anything you could only push me further. Unserstand?" I nodded. "And if anything ever happens again, please, don't be afraid to call me. Because if you don't call me and I find out something is wrong and you didn't tell me, I'll drop everything and take the first flight to you. Okay?"
"Yes, sir!" I answered.

I was really lucky in the 'best friend' department. I got one for life!
