Lily Evan's POV

I waved at Eternity, trying to act all happy but really I was dying inside. Eternity had said that everyone knew that I liked James Potter, did thy really? I thought I hided it very well, if only he stopped combing his hands through his untidy black hair, then I would be able to hide it better...

I was also sad that me and Eternity had to hide our friendship, I never told Severes Snape this but she was more of my best friend then he was. I knew that Severes called everyone "Mudblood" and "Bloodtraitor" behind my back, but I try to ignore it, even though he is slowly tearing me up inside. Eternity didn't think like that, she thought of everyone as an equel, even though she tried to keep her Slytherin Reputation I was the only one that could see through her little act. I also thought her crush on Sirius Black was cute, you know - a prankster with a prankster - they were perfect for eachother.

I sat down next to the window in my compartment while Severes started to talk about potions. I always listened to Severes but we were drifting apart, even though he didn't notice. I looked out the window, nodding my head when he was waiting for my response but otherwise said nothing else.

My thought's drifted back to Eternity and Sirius. Little did Eternity know that the crush worked both ways. Eternity hid her crush more, just like me with James, she hided her crush with loathing and hatred, but Sirius hided his crush slightly differant - he hid his with teasing and amusement though when she wasn't looking he would look at her with such love and tenderness I had to look away. So it was slightly cute to see those two niave children messing with eachother because they thought they both wanted differantly even though they both wanted the same thing.

"Lily?" I heard someone say, though it was more like a echo from a well. "Lily? are you - are you listening to me?"

The voice got louder and more clearer, then when I felt hands on my shoulder I blinked and looked up, expecting to see Severes I seen Eternity instead, from the corner of my eye I could see Severes lo9oking grumpily at me - I guess he noticed that I was zoned out. I blushed guiltily, making Eternity smirk in amusement. I noticed that she never used to smirk in her first year, must be a Slytherin thing.

"Yeah Lily," Eternity laughed. "You zoned out on Snape's potions lesson, not a surprise, I often do that too."

Severes glowered at her, though you could see a blush creeping up his cheeks. "What did you want to tell me, Eternity?"

Eternity straightened up and smoothed out her clothes. "I wanted to show you my knew style, you know how it changes every year."

I did in fact, know how her style chaged every year, she always wanted to be a year ahead of the trends. Her first year her mother forced her in a knee lentgh purple dress with orange fluffed cuffs - she changed into baggy army pants with a white tank-top and army boots. Her second year her mother forced her into a horrid fluffy pink dress that fell to the floor slightly - she changed into a big brown t-shirt with black shorts and worn out sneakers. This year her mother forced her into a white v-neck with a short pink skirt - she changed into a tight black tank top, a leather jacket, tight skinny jeans with tears in it, and black ankle boots.

I shook my head and giggled. "How the teachers never tell you off for wearing these outfits is still a mystery to everyone."

Eternity smirked with pleasure. "Oh, it's not that big of a deal I just sent them a note saying... It doesn't matter, that was three years ago."

I raised my eyebrows at her but didn't ask what was in the note, knowing her she would have told me if she really wanted to.

"So do you like it?" Eternity asked, gesturing at her outfit. "When I showed mother she nearly had a heart attack, Clarisse got me out of the room in time - mother was sending hexes flying everywhere, she turned father into a toad."
