*Dean's P.O.V.*
I woke up to another day in New Jersey as a bartender at the General Poor's Tavern. It was completely different than the shop, but that's what I liked about it. The fast paced, easily pissed off customers were amusing to me. Just walking through the door gave me life.
"Dean my boy ! You're a natural at mixin' ! You sure you never did this before ?" my friend said to me.
"I'm sure. I'm just now getting use to this, it's actually fun."
"Keep mixin' like that and you'll be ahead of the game in no time ! You mix better than a blender with crushed ice and vodka."
"That's what I'm making right now dude." I laughed.
"Where did you say you were from again ?" he asked.
"Los Angeles. I've been in the Lower East Side for the past few years."
"Mr. Hollywood ! You ever see any celebrities ?"
"No, I left before I could care enough to hunt for them. I had to start over." I said.
"Start over from what ?"
"I didn't always look like this." I said showing an old high school photo on my phone. "I was the kid that had no friends, stayed home 24/7 and sucked at all the sports."
"Did someone put eggs in your hair ?"
"I'm still trying to figure out if that was lice or something I caught from a squirrel. I didn't really care about anybody. I moved because NY was my goal after school."
"That's a real touching story. I'm gonna be mixin drinks tonight at this get together, you wanna come ?"
"Sure, where is it ?"
"On a rooftop about three miles from here." he said simply.
"A rooftop ? You're not planning to throw anybody over are you ?"
[Later That Night]
I finished getting ready and stepped out the bathroom like I was in one of those head and shoulders commercials.
"Dean ! You look sharper than the razor I used to cut my dog's hair !"
"This is the only suit I have. It was this or shorts. So this is gonna be a business meeting pretty much ?" I asked.
"For the first hour or so. We have to hurry. The elevator is super slow." he said.
Once we got to the building, the business men were already waiting for us. We made a few drinks and mainly sat for the next hour. I tried not to show my boredom, but this was complete shit.
"Thank you everyone for coming ! We will discuss the launch of the new update on September 23rd. Drive safely." a guy said on the microphone as everyone cleared out.
"Now we're getting to the real party." my friend said opening the elevator.
10 minutes later, we were in front of a rooftop pool party. Girls in bikinis, guys with their shirts off, I'm glad I didn't walk out earlier.
"Yo Dean ! Help me get the fine gentlemen some drinks !" I heard from the bar station.
Somehow this guy went from a formal suit to shorts, a tank top and Jordan's.
