The next morning
We ended up sitting at her bay window. We didn't talk much but when we did talk it was about old times. Then after the reception was over I went to sleep in Auggie's room. Now I am getting dressed. I slept in a twin bed for the first time since I was five. It was different from the Olympic Queen at my mom's house. And the King size I had in my room at my ...I don't want to call him father but I don't know what else to call him. I sigh and go for breakfast. And I nearly run into Riley. "I'm sorry." We say at the same time. Which makes her give me a sleepy smile. I give her one back. And we go to breakfast and sit on the bench next to each other. My mom smiles. "I'm glad the Filey friendship is back." She says. Riley and I look at eachother confused. "Filey?" I ask. "It's your names put together. Allie always called you two Riarkle. But any case. I'm glad you guys are friends again. You two have known each other. Your whole lives." She says. What? "Topanga we met when we were about four." Riley says as confused as I. "That's the first time you remember meeting eachother. The first time you really met was the night you were born Riley. I brought nearly 9 month old Farkle to the hospital with me. I argued with the staff for an hour till they let me bring my baby in to meet my best friends baby. Farkle you smiled when you met and Riley cooed. It was so cute." It seemed baby us were  happy to have met.

Mom gets up and gets something out of her bag. Corey gets something out of his room. They were scrapbooks. One was titled Filey the other Riarkle. We open the books and their we were interacting at the hospital when Riley was a hospital. The next one was two months later. We were laying next to each other our hands were holding the other. A bunch of pics were just like this. Then when I was a year old. She was about three months. I was dressed in a special one year old out fit she was put in a baby party dress. Then some more pics of us together. Then there was one where I was about 17 months old and she was 8 months old. Our moms were posed over us changing our diapers. I feel myself turn red. "Aww.. when Allie and I used to have diaper relays. We used to race and see who can change their baby the fastest. Allie used to win all the time but she had the advantage her baby wasn't able to pee in her face.." "Mom!" I say embarrassed. We turn the page. The next page I was crying my pants were wet in the picture I was about 2. "Farkle was the first to get potty trained but had accidents." "My mom says. "Riley only had accidents at night when she got potty trained. Sometimes you both would wake up crying cause you wet the bed." Corey says.

"Mom!" I moan in embarrassment at the same time Riley moans, "Dad!" Will this humiliation end? We turn the page. And suddenly we were looking at the first time we remember meeting at four. "We all got busy with work. We weren't able to hangout much and didn't have play dates again till you were four and Riley was still three. You two didn't remember meeting before so it was like the first time. Farkle you were so shy. Riley smiled at you and you were under her spell. She laughed and you started opening up." Mom says. How is my mom able to see so much yet was so blind to everything at the same time? Yes we became best friends but I had fallen for her then. And I never stopped. "At five you developed a bit of a crush on Riley cause you took her face and tried to kiss her but you missed and got her chin instead. But you still both acted like it was your first kiss. So adorable. I think you two liked eachother for awhile before you two outgrew it at some point.." mom trails on. But we didn't outgrow it at least I didn't. I remember being 8 years having to get contacts for the first time cause I lost my glasses. And we were in the third grade I kissed her in our secret spot behind the kindergarten classes. And I got her lips this time. But we had no idea what we were doing still. She had given me a smile before Maya who was our friend by then who was teasing her cause her first kiss was from me. She had turned red but didn't deny anything. I did kiss her again after we met Lucas but it was because I heard he had kissed her and I had to Remind her I will still here. Not that that did much...

Suddenly I am hearing the magical sound of her giggling. I look next to me and Auggie is ticking her. And I smile a bit before I start ticking her myself. "Guys.. not fair.. it's two.. it's two... against one!" She manages to get out between her giggles. "Get used to it sister you are the only girl now." Auggie says. And that reminds me once again we are stepbrother and stepsister. "Oh I just remembered Auggie you are going over your grandpa and Grandma's while your Dad and I go on our honeymoon." "Mom what are Riley and I doing?" "Staying home. You two are old enough to take care of yourselves and stay home alone for a month." "A month?" Riley asks. "Yes a month. We will be doing some traveling. I'm sure you will have a great time you two. Now that Filey friendship is back on." Mom says giving us our breakfast. Blind so completely blind my mom is. "When are you leaving?" Riley asks. "After breakfast we are taking Auggie to your grandparents then we are heading straight to the airport." My mom answers with a smile. They had definitely planned this all out before telling us about their engagement.
