"Come on Aphie you're going to be late!" My mom called from downstairs. I rolled off my bed and onto the floor. I groaned and put on my glasses. I got up and went to my closet. I shuffled through my clothes until I found my uniform. I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I ran the brush through my hair and went downstairs. "Hey Aph." Katelyn and Zane said in unison. "Hi guys." I grabbed my bag and headed out the door. "I can't wait to see Laurence." Katelyn gushed. Zane and I gagged. "I don't get how you like him." She rolled her eyes. "I don't see how you don't. He's amazing." "Don't make me barf." I laughed at Zane's comment. Katelyn punched Zane on the shoulder and rolled her eyes. "Katelyn!" Laurence ran over. "Hey babe." He pulled Katelyn close and kissed her. I pretended to barf which made Zane laugh. Katelyn was smiling. While Laurence glared. "Phoenix." I glared back at him. "Zvahl." (I don't know how to spell Laurence's last name ;-;) He rolled his eyes and drew his attention back to Katelyn. "Come on Zane, before I vomit." I walked off with Zane by my side. "I hate him. It see how everyone in this school loves him so much." I opened my locker. "I don't see how people like any of the Phoenix Alliance." Zane said opening his own locker. I shrugged and closed my locker. "Hey guys!" Katelyn said. "Hey Kate, finally come to your senses and ditch the dummy?" She rolled her eyes at me. "No Aphie, we have different homerooms, for like the eighteenth time." I sat at my desk and put my belongings on it. "So Aph, Laurence invited me to a party. He said I could bring a plus one, care to join me?" She smiled at me. "Katelyn you know how I feel about parties, every time I go you or Zane ditch me and I end up awkwardly standing in a corner." I slouched in my chair. "Pleeeeease Aphmau, I won't ditch you this time. And after this you won't ever have to come to another party again." I raised an eyebrow at her. "You promise?" She smiled. "I promise." I returned her smile. "Hey Katelyn." Dante smiled at her. Before she could reply, girls started squealing and pulled Dante away. I rolled my eyes. "Alright everyone settle down." We all drew our attention to the teacher.

"I hate this one." I looked in the mirror at the seventh dress Katelyn picked for me. "Try this one." She handed me another one and shoved me into the closest. I put on a strapless purple dress that went down to my knees.

I came out of the closet and Katelyn's jaw dropped. "This one is perfect Aph!" She squealed. "Jeez Katelyn, I've never seen you act so girly." I chuckled and she rolled her eyes. "Why do I have to wear a dress if you don't?" I crossed my arms. "Aphmau I hate dresses, and you look better in them then I do." She said. "Well, I do look better in a dress than you." She punched my shoulder. "Argh! Katelyn! I was just kidding!" I rubbed my shoulder. "Whoops." She said sarcastically as she walked out the door. I growled and walked after her. I grabbed my glasses. "Nope." Katelyn grabbed them from me. "Contacts." She pointed upstairs. I rolled my eyes at her and went to go put in my contacts
Laurence
The door opened, Katelyn walked in. There was a girl who walked in behind her, but she kept her head down. "Hey babe." I pecked Katelyn on the lips. "Who's your friend?" Katelyn elbowed her in the side. "Ow! Katelyn!" She rubbed her side. She looked up and glared at me. My eyes widened a little. Where were her glasses!? And she isn't fat? What the heck happened to Aphmau? "Didn't your mom tell you it was rude to stare?" She put her hand on her hip and shifted her weight into her right hip. "Laurence!" Katelyn slapped me. "What the fudge!?" I yelled and held my cheek. "Maybe that'll teach you to drool over your girlfriend's best friend!" She ran out the door and went to her car. "Whelp, there goes my ride. Thanks a lot Zvahl." Aphmau glared at me. "Once again I'm alone." She muttered sadly before walking off. I have to admit, she looked hot. Dang.
Aphmau
I stood in a corner like I usually did. "Hey." I looked up to see Aaron. "Hi." I replied quietly. I tried to calm down the butterflies in my stomach. Let me explain something to you. In our school, there's a group of popular boys. They call themselves the Pheonix Alliance. Within that group, is Laurence, who I despise. Dante, who isn't much better. Garroth, he's not as bad, Travis, we used to be friends, and Aaron, who I have a crush on, we used to be friends but drifted away. That's a story for another time though. "So, I heard Katelyn ditched you." He said. "No. It wasn't like that at all." He looked at me confused. "Laurence was staring at me and Katelyn got mad and she stormed off, she drove away and left me here." I sighed. "Oh." Was all he said. "But my house is only a few streets away, I could walk." I shrugged. "No, it's to dangerous to walk alone at night. I'll drive you." I smiled at him. "Thanks Aaron." He smiled back. "No problem." A few minutes of awkward silence. "Um, do you wanna get out of here? Parties aren't really my thing." Aaron said breaking the silence. "Sure, they aren't my place either." I chuckled. He grabbed my hand which caused my cheeks to light up and led me through the crowd of people. When we got outside he kept his fingers laced with mine.
TIME CHANGEEEEE
I thanked Aaron for the ride. I stepped onto Katelyn's porch and knocked. "Hello Aphmau, I assume your looking for Katelyn?" Katelyn's dad asked. I nodded. He let me in and I went upstairs. "Katelyn?" I walked into her room. She was hugging a pillow. Her mascara stained the pillow case and her cheeks. "Are you okay?" I sat down next to her and rubbed her back. "Why would he do that?" Her voice was shaky and it cracked every so often. "Boys are idiots, and they do stupid things." I continued to run my hand up and down her back. "Yeah but, why would he stare at you?" I stopped rubbing her back. "Excuse me?" She turned over. "I look way better than you. Let's face it Aph, all you do is watch anime and shove popcorn and chips in your mouth." She shrugged. "Well thanks for the comments. I'll be leaving now. Don't bother calling me." I said angrily and ran out of her house. I walked to my house, it was just down the street. I slammed the front door shut and ran to my room. I changed out of my dress and curled up on my bed and buried myself in blankets and pillows. My eyes became heavy and closed slowly.
