Aphmau

"Mom!?" I yelled. Laurence quickly took his hand away. "That's right! Keep your hands off my daughter!" She stomped on his foot and came over to me. "Laurence!" He sat down on the chair next to the bed. "I'm fine. Who needs toes anyway right?" He said while rubbing his foot. "Miss, this young man does not have permission to be back here, he is neither her parent or her spouse!" My mom yelled at the doctor. "No! He's my boyfriend I swear!" I said. "WHAT!?" My mom yelled. "Okay, the stitches are all done. You can leave whenever you'd like." The doctor said before leaving, no, running for her life. I face palmed. "Aphmau don't do that!" My mom screamed. "Let's just go home." I huffed. "Alright. I'll go get the paperwork." My mother said before calmly leaving. I got off the bed and my chest immediately hurt. "Careful Aph!" Laurence said before standing up and rushing to my side. "Take it easy. We're in no rush." He wrapped his arm around my waist to help me stand. I held onto his shoulder. "Can you walk?" He asked. "I think so." I tried to take a step and pain surged through my whole body. "Agh!" I leaned on Laurence. "Don't move." He picked me up and set me down on the bed. "Maybe you should stay overnight." He suggested. I shook my head. "I hate hospital food." He chuckled at my comment. "I'll stay with you and we can both gag together." I laughed and he did too. "Sounds good, but you have to promise to stay with me all night." I  held out my pinky. "I promise." We locked pinkies and moved them up and down. I looked up and saw him smiling and blushing. I giggled at him. He looked at me and blushed more. "S-sorry, did I hold on for too long?" He was so cute. I've never seen him so embarrassed. "You're so cute." His eyes widened. "W-what?" I blushed after I realized what I had just said. "N-nothing! Well, I-I mean y-you are k-kind of cute- THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!" I covered my face with my hand that wasn't holding his pinky. He grabbed my chin gently and made me look up at him. And I thought my face couldn't get any redder. "Laurence..." I said quietly. "You're cuter." He smiled. "Pfft! As if!" I laughed. "It's true. Although, I shouldn't be doing this. We shouldn't. We'd both hurt Aaron." He let go of my chin and my pinky. "But Laurence-" "Aph you're dating him. I'm going to get Katelyn back and we'll all be happy." He sat down in the chair. "Right." I faked a smile and laid on my side. This sucks. I like Laurence while I'm dating someone else. Nice one Aphmau. Now I have to decide, don't I? Great job. I felt something drip onto my pillow. I touched my face, I didn't even realize I was crying. Why am I crying!? I wiped it away and sniffled. That probably wasn't the best idea. "Aph? Are you okay?" Laurence asked. I opened my mouth to speak, but nothing came out. I nodded my head and gave a thumbs up without turning around. More tears ran down my face and my breathing became stilted. "Aphmau I'm so sorry. I didn't know you would react like this." Laurence said. "I didn't either." My voice cracked all over the place. I felt him put his hand on my shoulder. "I'm an awful person." I buried my face in my pillow. "What?" Laurence said confused. "I didn't even know I felt this way before. I feel like I'm just playing with your emotions." I said between sniffles. I felt him sit down next to me. Before I could turn over he lifted me up and set me in his lap. "It's okay Aphmau. You haven't been playing with my emotions. If anything that's what I've been doing to you. Being all nice to you, then saying that I'm going to move on to someone else? How empty hearted could I be?" He laughed, but it sounded kind of sad. It was like a laugh that someone broke. A broken laugh... He wrapped his arms around me and rested his chin on my head. I laid on his chest while making shapes onto his thigh with my finger.

She stopped moving her finger and I started hearing light snores. I lifted her off my lap and laid her down. I started to get off, then she grabbed my wrist. "Stay..." She mumbled. I blushed and crawled back in bed. I laid on my back and eventually fell asleep.
I woke up and felt a light weight on my chest. Aphmau was laying on my chest and I had my arms wrapped around her. She looked so peaceful sleeping. I bet she hasn't had a decent sleep in a long time. She deserves to sleep, with all she's been through, I can't even imagine her pain. Mentally and physically. I bet she'll be hungry when she wakes up. I moved her gently so she wouldn't wake up, then I went to the cafeteria to get breakfast. The muffins look like the best thing right now honestly. I grabbed a few and went back to Aphmau's room. She was still sleeping. She must be so tired. I walked over and started running my fingers through her hair. Her eyes fluttered open and she stretched her arms. "Good morning." She said after stretching. She stayed laying down with her eyes closed, but she was awake. "I brought you muffins." I sat down next to her and she sat up. "That's all you grabbed?" She laughed. "It was honestly the best looking thing down there. The apple juice even looked gross." We both laughed. We took a bite into our muffins and spit it out. "How do you mess up a store bought muffin!?" I said. We both started dying of laughter. "Let's get out of here and get some real food. My mom already did all the paperwork so we can just leave." Aphmau said before getting up and slipping on her shoes. "You can walk right?" I asked. "I hope so." She said and stood up. She took a few steps and gave me a big smile, which made me chuckle. We walked out of the hospital and drove home. We were singing in the car, then Aphmau stopped. I looked over and saw her sleeping. I smiled at her and continued to drive home. I pulled into her driveway and shut off the car. I walked over to Aphmau's side, picked her up, and carried her inside. I didn't see her mom anywhere so I'm guessing she's at work. She had taken an entire week off since Aphmau was hurt. I set her down on the chair for a second so I could pull out the roll out couch. After I had made the bed I set her on it and tucked her in. I sat down on the chair and watched jacksepticeye for a while before I went to sleep.

SMALL TIME SKIP

"Laurence?" I heard a voice say. "Just five more minutes." I mumbled. "Laurence~" The voice said again. I groaned and turned around. The voice giggled. "I guess you won't get any bacon." I quickly sat up and saw Aphmau laughing. "There's no bacon is there?" I said. "Of course there's bacon! I'd practically be teasing myself if there were none." She laughed. I laughed too. "Well come on then! It should be cooled off." She walked into the kitchen and grabbed two plates. "You don't need plates to eat bacon." I chuckled. "Well maybe I don't want you to make a mess on my counter." She said while putting bacon on a plate. Now she has to pay for sassing me. I quietly walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her waist. She tensed up and stopped putting the bacon on the plate. "L-laur-" I cut her off by shushing her softly. I heard her whimper as she shakily put bacon on plates. "A-all d-d-done." I loosened my grip on her, but didn't let go. She turned around with two plates in her hand. As soon as she did I wrapped my arms tightly around her waist again, holding her close to my chest.

So that's how it's going to be eh? Well, two can play at this game. I stood up on my toes and pecked Laurence on the cheek. His cheeks flushed and mine did too after realizing what I had just done. "I-I'm sorry! I shouldn't of! I just wanted to get pay back because of-" He cut me off by pressing his lips against mine. I slowly melted into his lips. He grabbed the plates from me and set them on the counter. I wrapped my arms loosely around his neck and he wrapped his around my waist. Sadly, we parted. "I've been waiting so long to do that." He whispered as he rested his forehead against mine. "W-what about Katelyn and Aaron?" I asked. "Katelyn won't be a problem. Aaron though, I'm not to sure about him." He said. "What if he goes back to his old ways!?" I started to panic. "Shh it's okay. I'll make sure he doesn't do anything." He hugged me. I didn't ever want to let him go.
