Marinette's POV
I immediately bolted out of bed and climbed out towards my balcony.
The crash had come from outside the bakery, and when I looked, it was a car crash.
And that was my parents' car.
I ran down as fast as my feet could take me, grabbing my phone along the way to call the hospital.
Once I was outside, tears were falling down my face already as I told the operator what was going on. When I hung up, I ran to our car and opened the door to find my mom crying with a scratched knee and my dad in the driver's seat passed out.
I helped my mom out as much as I could and sat her down on the pavement. Then I went around to open the door for my dad, but he would be too heavy. I'd only make things worse by opening it and let him fall down.
I started to hear a faint siren and I checked the other car to see an old man who was also passed out with a cigarette in his mouth.
The siren got louder.
Checking up on my mom, she was shaking badly and couldn't make out words as she was stuttering too much.
I saw the blue and red lights right next to the crash.
"Are you okay mom? Please be okay, what happened?" I asked shakily.
The men took out a carrier and took out my dad, laying him down on it.
She just shook her head, biting her nails, obviously not being able to speak.
I motioned the men to come and take my mom too. I felt like she'd need the help.
After that I got inside the truck with them, the passed out drunk guy in another ambulance.
The men closed the doors to the back.
Driving away, I took one last look at the site through the window and saw a firetrucks making its way to where a small fire had started.

"Marinette? Marinette, wake up," I heard a voice saying. It sounded faded to me but once I got into more focus I realized it was my mom.
I sat up, sweating and I felt tears stained on my cheeks.
"W-What happened?" I asked in confusion.
I was sitting on my bed, sitting up and my sheets were drenched in sweat.
"Well I heard you crying, so I came up to see what's wrong. Was it a dream?" Her face clearly showed worry.
"O-Oh, yeah it was a bad dream." I said, almost reassuring myself more than for her.
"Oh okay, if you want, can you tell me what happened that made you cry?"
I gulped and prepare myself to tell.
"Well, I guess I fell asleep yesterday and a dream started up. I had heard a crash outside the bakery, and it was after I jumped in bed. So I went to check on what it was, but apparently, you and dad were part of the c-crash and a drunk man was in the other car. I immediately called the hospital and then went to check up on you. You had a cut up knee and was stuck in shock while dad was passed out in the other seat. When the ambulance came, I got in with you guys and the last thing I saw were firemen putting out a fire that the cars started." At the end a few tears fell out. The dream felt so real that I was pretty shaken up. My mother clearly didn't have anything to say. "Oh. Well that's a very vivid dream, but don't let it get to you. Your father and I are here and fine. Do you want to go to school or not today?"
"I'm fine. I'll get ready in a few minutes. How much do I have left again?" I wiped my eyes sleepily.
"You've got fifteen minutes."
I widened my eyes and broke out of bed towards the bathroom.
I think I broke the record for fastest shower ever.
Once the got out after brushing my teeth, I took out some undergarments and random and chose a loose grey T-shirt and some plain ripped jeans with white sneakers. Throwing those on quickly, I let my hair loose and brushed it out with only five minutes remaining.
Grabbing my book bag, I ran downstairs, took a croissant, and yelled goodbye to my parents before running out the door.
Making sure no cars were going to cross, I leapt across the street into school where I was there at least a second before the bell.
Upon hearing it, I gathered up all the energy I had left and ran into the class with the teacher coming in five seconds after me.
Luckily.
I sat down, giving a greeting to my friends, and Alya asking me, "Why so late today? Yesterday you were fine,"
I just gave her a look before responding. "Everyone has their off days." I looked back towards the board where the teacher was starting her lesson.
"Good morning class, everyone seems to be here, so let's start. Today we'll be doing history on America's Civil War..."
