Chapter Five

Charlie's P.O.V

I can just tell Niall and the other guys aren't gonna let what happened and what was said at Gym Class go that easily, they won't just target me but Jamie too because of his stupid remark to Peter about his Mom, I'm not gonna lie though I was glad he finally stuck up for himself and he did make me laugh, every moment I spend with that guy he just makes me laugh even more.

"YO, wait up Charlie?" Jamie shouted up the corridor.

"Hurry up dude seriously." I replied stopping until he caught up to me and finally he did.

"You do know they won't let that go?" I said to him.

"Let what go?" He said smiling at me.

"You know what I'm on about what you said to Peter in Gym about his Mom." I laughed.

"Oh that, don't sweat it, I'm used to it by now, getting punched, kicked, spat on, trust me mate you get used to it." he said, I could see the hurt come across his face for a moment he must have noticed that I seen it because straight away he smiled and said "enough about that anyway I'll be fine."

"But that's the point you won't be fine, I know these lads and I won't let them touch you again, I promise you that." I said placing my arm around his shoulder.

"Don't make promises you can't keep Charlie." He said looking up at me.

"Don't worry I will keep it, we have all the same classes all we need to do is stick together." I said stopping outside our English class letting him walk in font of me.

"Okay deal, only if ..." He said thinking.

"Only if what?" I said worried about what he was gonna say.

"Only If ... you walk me to school and home from school everyday, it's a tough price to pay Charlie boy." He said grinning at me.

"It doesn't sound that bad from where I'm standing." I replied then i sat in the chair next to him.

"Okay class, guess what I'm going to ask you to do now?" Mrs.Brookes said and everyone knew what was about to come out of her mouth before I knew it Jamie launched himself at me "PARTNER UP" she shouted.

"I guess I'm stuck with you." I said pushing Jamie off me and into his own chair.

"Yeah you are Charlie Boy." He said winking at me.

"Stop that." I said

"What? Winking at you?" He grinned knowing that I was referring to him giving me the nickname 'Charlie Boy'. I stared at him giving him the evils until he said "okay CHARLIE."

Class was just about over and we had an assignment due for the week and it was a partnered task so i have the joys of working with Jamie.

"Yes the joys of working with Jamie." Jamie said laughing at me.

"Wait what?" I replied

"You do realise sometimes you think out loud? It's funny." He said lifting his bag of the ground and throwing it around his shoulders.

"I need to stop doing that one day it's gonna get me in trouble." I said following him out of the classroom.

"LOOK OUTT" I knew it was Kate that shouted it and before I knew it me and Jamie had been drenched with slushies.

"Shit, who the hell done that?" Jamie said shivering in the middle of the corridor.

"Oh my fuck it's freezing." I said

"It was Niall and his gang, they put masks on they got them from the drama department." Kate said running towards us.

"I am going to kill them." I said starting to walk down towards the way they run.

"No, just stop. Come back to mine and get cleaned up I only live a 10minute walk from here and it's lunch anyway we have an hour to kill." Jamie said to me, he made a lot of sense though cause I couldn't walk around like this all day.

"Okay let's go." I said walking towards the entrance of the school.

"Kate you coming?" Jamie asked her. "No me and Chanelle got partnered up, heading to the library with her to start this project." She said pointing down towards Chanelle who waved up towards us. "Okay, I'll see you later then." Jamie said turning around towards me and walking out the entrance of the school.

We walked for what seemed forever drenched in slushies but it actually only turned out to be 8minutes, I checked.

"You live here?" I said to Jamie pointing at the house in front of us. It was a pretty modern house not too big, not too small, the perfect house.

"Yeah I live here, my moms at work though so no ones in." He said opening the door.

"What about your Dad?" I asked he paused for a minute "He doesn't live with us, moved out when I was 8, haven't seen him since." He said taking his shirt off.

"Ah that must suck mate, my Dad done the same but I got sent to live with him over the Summer lets just say that was an experience." I said taking my shirt off.

"Shower?" He said

"Yeah a shower would be great." I said he pointed towards to stairs "follow me."

He brought me into his bedroom which had an en-suite "you can use the shower in there." He said pointing at his bathroom. "I'll use the other one, towels and spare clothes on the bed alright?" He said smiling at me. "Alright." I replied grabbing a towel and heading into the shower.

That shower was one of the most relaxing showers I've ever had, but I knew I had to get out cause we had to head back to school soon., wrapping the towel around my waist I headed into Jamie's bedroom, I was shocked to bang into him and his towel fell from around his waist.

"Wow man, your towel dropped." I shouted covering my eyes.

"Yeah I can see that man, you kinda banged into me." He said laughing.

He sat down on the edge of his bed and stared at me "Can I ask you something?" He said.

"Yeah sure ask away?" I replied

"When Niall said that to you in Gym you got really defensive you know?" He said getting all serious.

"Yeah I know, it's just .. It's just that this Summer was a lot, I found out things about myself that shocked me you know? I said sitting down beside him.

"Ah that's cool you don't have to tell me full details." He said to me putting his hand on my knee.

"Yeah I know but I think your cool." I said turning to face him.

"Yeah I think your cool too." Jamie said winking at me then laughing.

I laughed too and then ...

I kissed him

I kissed Jamie.
