Amelia Flash

My name is Amelia, Amelia Flash to be exact. I'm not quite sure why I was given that name, maybe it came with my powers. Well when I was two years old, I was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma, Weird how I know that fancy name. Well the good news that they got rid of my glioblastoma but I was stuck with powers. I also had a condition if a lot of stress occurred I would faint and lose my strength and also my powers. I was never gonna lose my powers because no one cared enough about me too stress me out. I had powers to run faster than any living creature on this earth. I could also do this fancy tech thing with my brain, also known as Telekinesis. Cool right? Trust me I thought the same thing. My family wasn't very thrilled of course I was only three. I never came from a family of superheros, We were just normal. We were, But we have never been normal after that day. I have never heard so many apologies even for a three year old, or seen that many tears, of course now I was super human, I understood more than the average three year old. Most three year olds at my daycare played with there fingers and ate their crayons. For me I spent my time racing the chairs or moving little toy food with my brain. Yes I know what your thinking. Everyone thought that. I can't tell you how many daycares I was in and out of basically like a stray. I had parents but they were always spending as much time away from me as possible. You can say my childhood was pretty great.

As I grew up I learned to control my powers. I learned to accept the fact my mom and dad were just people not parents. They didn't want me, no one did. They raised me until I was old enough to run as far away from them as possible. On my eighteenth birthday. They told me " Goodbye Amelia, Good luck" I got no I love you. I never have. They also gave me a couple thousand dollars to make my way. I walked out and smelled the fresh air. I knew I was gonna be smelling a whole lot of it. I turned around, that was the last I saw of my parents. I ran and I ran, and never once took a breath. I ran until I made it to a famous town with lots of lights way better than Seattle ever was. I had made it to New York City. Where I would start my new life. I checked into a hotel later that night. Looking through Newspapers. Looking for a job & a place to call home. Since in my books I have never really had one. My life was gonna be perfect or so I thought.

Once I had settled in that big town also known as New York City. Things were just getting normal and I had a house and a job. I worked for the New York City Times since I had always liked writing my whole life. I lived on 5th street in a condo. I spent most nights brainstorming something to write about. I tried to write about my life but that was way too vivid. I would sometimes roam the streets late at night since their were a lot of weirdos out at that time. Looking for action to write about.

Well, one of those nights, I saw it. I had to come back a few more nights to make sure it was real. It was someone or something like me but worse. Way worse than I am. Not very sure who it is or what is it, but I was about to find out. I almost had the gut too walk up too that human creature who was kidnapping kids late at night almost always at 10:30 p.m exactly, and ask who he is or what he is. I waited a week or so. Just watching "It" since I have not figured this things name. I remember this day. It was the day that changed my life. I had been watching this thing for about a month now and on October third. That's the night when I was quite never the same.

I saw him kidnap an innocent kid one after another and that was enough. I ran up to him tapped him on his shoulder while he was shoving the child into his bag. I asked "Sir what is your name and may I ask why you have been kidnapping innocent children?"

He replied " Why yes, My name is Commander Rotten Spider, and I have been kidnapping these civilians to kill them and turn them evil to fight superheros."

"Um excuse me...My name is Amelia Flash and I am a superhero. What are you gonna do to me Commander ?"

"Well Amelia, I must kidnap you and kill you as well. Unless you would like to handle it the old fashioned way."
