It just kept vibrating during this hot amazing kiss. Vibrations in her pocket were not helping the situation. She already was turned on the and now the vibrations just added to it.
She tried pushing him off a bit. "Nathan...Nathan I have to get that."
He groaned. "It can wait love." He said as he nibbled on her neck and traced her neckline with his tongue.
She had chills everywhere, but she managed to push him back against the tree and reach for her phone.
As she walked away he threw his head back onto the tree and took a deep breath.
"Nathan I have to go I am sorry." She cried then began to speed walk back to the party.
"Mel wait." He cried then jogged after her. Just as he caught up to her she sped up. "Mel, I am sorry I just got carried away."
She shook her head. "It's not you. I have to go okay."
"What is it then?"
She didn't respond and kept walking. She grabbed her sandals and headed toward her car.
"Mel come on talk to me." He pleaded.
She started walking faster then turned back quickly. "I will see you on Wednesday okay Sykes." She said then practically ran to her car.
Nathan stood there until she drove away. He just plopped down in the sand and looked out to the ocean. He kept replaying everything in his head. I may have been too aggressive. Maybe it wasn't me like she said, maybe it was an emergency. Maybe? His thoughts were interrupted by footsteps in the sand.
"There you are heartthrob." Casey said then sat next to him in the sand. "Have you seen Mel?"
"She just ran off a few minutes ago." He said in sadness.
Casey looked down and traced the sand with her finger. "Did she say why?"
Nathan just shook his head no. "Her phone rang and then two seconds later she was off."
Casey put her hand on his shoulder. "Oh, don't worry about it. Probably just...I don't know..."
Nathan turned to her quickly. "Probably just what?"
Casey become very nervous. "I don't know maybe a family emergency or something."
Nathan squinted his eyes at her. "Does she have a boyfriend or something?"
Casey laughed out loud then covered her mouth quickly. "I'm sorry its just...Mel doesn't have time for that sort of thing."
"She had time enough to kiss me over there." He confessed pointing down the beach.
Casey's mouth dropped open. That little hoochie she thought to herself. She better give me all the details later, she thought to herself.
"You can tell me if she has a bloke. I can handle it."
Casey grabbed his arm and looked into his eyes. "Nathan, if she kissed you, she likes you...a lot apparently."
Nathan shook his head. "It just doesn't make sense Casey"
She fanned herself at the mention of her name off of his lips.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
She smiled a bit embarrassed. She quickly popped to her feet. "Come on Nato let's go make a s'more."
Nathan smiled at the nickname. "A s'more huh? Let me guess, Jay?"
She giggled. "Yes, he had a craving and just starting making them for people." She said still holding her hand out to him.
He nodded then stood up and they walked back to the party.
Later that evening, Nathan tried calling Mel to check on her. Her phone was still dead. He decided to get some sleep even though he could hear the party still going on at 3 am.
It was around 12pm when Nathan started coming out of a deep sleep. He was sprawled out on his stomach with a sheet covering him just below his waste. He groaned a little and smiled, clearly thinking of his hot make out session with Mel. He finally opened his eyes and lifted his head slightly to check the clock.
Just then Kelsey walked past his room and popped her head in. "Nathie, you gonna come down for breakfast."
Suddenly he was very aware that he only had boxer briefs on. He was also aware of the fact that dreaming of Melanie put him in a very "excited" state. He casually tried to keep himself covered and managed to reply to Kelsey. "Alright kels."
She finally left and memories of last night came flooding back. He reached for his phone hoping she had reached out to him. He quickly sat up when he saw that he has a text message waiting.
Message from Mel: So sorry okay? Can't wait for your lesson on Wednesday.
He read it again and again then frowned. "That's it?" he said to himself sadly.
He threw his head back onto the pillow.
"Get up mate!" Tom shouted as he passed by.
Nathan dragged himself out of bed, put some grey sweatpants on over his briefs and headed downstairs. At least she didn't cancel the lesson, he thought to himself.
