Chapter 11: A little lie

Sorry it's like sooooooo many months ago since i updated. SUPER SORRY I APOLOGIZE. :( Here's your update though. Enjoy everyone ! :) This chapter i think is the best one i've written yet. This chapter has exactly 1,570 words :)

Summary: Harry and Jia both tell a little lie that will cause a big trouble.

"Zayn, promise I'll be good and I'll behave while I'm there. I won't do any trouble," I said to Zayn on the phone. I was talking to him about this little party my dad is planning to make since he just got home from the other side of the country. I couldn't really convince him to let me go there because he said he'll miss me and I might do trouble. But hey, I'm a girl. That's what we do. But for Zayn of course I'll be a good girl....I'll try to. 

Before that, my dad came home last week. He didn't really got to meet Zayn after because Zayn is at his Grandma's for the whole school break. So, we had separated plans but we still talk to each other most of the time. Harry, on the other hand, he is at his place, because their house is like a mansion and duh, who would even leave that place? That place is huge! Me, my mom and my dad did the usual stuff: We hung out at the mall, we did a little shopping, we catched up on each other's lives and probably just enjoy the company. My dad hasn't asked me about Harry nor Zayn. It's a good thing though because I'm not ready to open up to him about it. He thinks I'm with Harry, and Zayn is a stranger to him. 

"You all packed up?" My dad, Steve, asks as he enters my room. I forgot to mention that we were going to a faraway place. My dad didn't tell me what exact place though, but we'll find out very soon enough.

I turn my back on him and get back to packing. "Almost." I smile. 

I earned a chuckle from him and he said, "Well you excited hunny?" 

I shook my head a little and honestly said, "Not really, Dad. Sorry." 

His eyebrows meet and replied, "Why not?" He frowned. 

The truth is, I'm not really into parties and I was really hoping I could spend some time with Zayn this school break. But, I only agreed to come with them since my dad would be real disappointed if I didn't. "You know, I got some school break homeworks to do." I lie, "And I was hoping I could spend more time with you before you go again." And that one was true. My dad was going back to his job after my school break. Time flies, gosh. 

My dad cracked a thin smile. "Oh sweetie. We have a lot of time. Just you and your mom. I promise you." With that, he walked away and closed my door to let me continue packing. I sure wish he will keep that promise. We will be on the road tomorrow for almost 8 hours. Crazy, isn't it? So I charge my iPod and cellphone overnight just to be sure. I wouldn't want a dead-batt phone on the road and surely I'll be bored then. 

"Jia, don't you wanna invite some friends or friend over?" My mom asks me as we ate dinner together. My dad was already asleep up stairs because he will be the one driving tomorrow on our way there. The question sort of startled me. 

"Why?" I reply then bit my potato mash after.

"I was hoping to see Zayn there. So he and your dad could finally meet and talk." She says then gets her platter on the table and into the kitchen sink. And adds, "And maybe you won't get real bored when we're there." 

I was playing with my potato mash (or more like mashing it more), when I said, "He's at his Grandma's for the rest of the school break. He can't come even though I'll tell him now." I conclude. My mom continues to wash the dishes as I spoke. "I could invite Harry, though if you like." I don't know why those words even came out of my mouth but I realised I couldn't take it back anyway. 

"Well, the choice is up to you honey. We will be there for atleast four days." My mom states then dries her wet hands with a kitchen towel. "Fine, I'll invite him." I said. I quickly stood up on my seat and left my mom in the kitchen and I go to my room to call Harry.
