Mitch always acts weird when I bring up the question as to why he did what he did. Yesterday was different.
He acted like it was a matter of life or death if he told me anything.
I can tell he wants to tell me everything but something is holding him back from doing so.
My train of thought was interrupted by my cell phone ringing.
"Hello." I say answering the phone.
"Hey Scottie!" Kirstie says.
"Hey babe! I miss you! When are you coming home?" I say.
"Well that's what I'm calling about. I'm going to be gone for at least a month or two. This is going to be a tough mission." She says.
My heart sank. I know it's what she does for a living but I would like her to be home more than she is.
"Oh. Okay. Well I guess I'll see you when you get back then. Be safe and don't hurt yourself." I say with a sad tone.
"Love you. I'll see you soon." She says before she hangs up.
Well I guess I'm by myself for the next month or two.
Maybe I can go see Mitch more and keep him company while he keeps me company.
I really want more answers out of Mitch than what he is already giving me.
He knows something I don't know and I'm going to get to the bottom of it.
