While riding with Dean, Sam reflected on what Tya told him earlier. He wondered if he should have told Dean that he was going to stay or what he chose to do.

"Dean.. I-I don't know if what I chose to do was right." Sam stated with a low and sorrow tone.

"What are talking about Sammy?" Says Dean confused.

"Leave Tya like that, I just told her I had to leave and I wasn't even there a day. I really feel like I hurt her, in fact, I know I did. It doesn't feel right." Replies Sam assertively, yet sadly.

"Sammy, you did what was right. You know we have people to save, things to take care of. Don't let it tear you up." Dean tells Sam.

"Dean, I understand that you have a whole different policy with girls, you're there one night and gone the next. I just don't feel the same way, especially with Tya." Sam says with a raspy, baritone voice.

"You're right, I've never stayed with someone longer that twenty-four hours, have I? Well not recently anyways." States Dean perkily.

"Well Sammy, next time you'll... we'll stay as long as you desire, I kinda miss the kiddo anyway." Dean continues happily.

"Alright, sounds like a deal. You have to keep it too, Dean!" Sam states hysterically.

"I will, I promise!" Replies Dean playfully loud.

Sam and Dean later arrive at the motel they planned to stay at to conduct research. Both boys seemed fine physically, but Sam was still mentally torn over earlier. He didn't want to leave as early as he did, but he wanted to protect the greater good, but Tya as well. Sam tells himself that he will not let her go, even if it meant Tya was leaving with them, he actually desired that more than leaving her. Then he would be able to protect the people, while also protecting Tya and having her by his side.
