Dear The First,
I'm sorry for all that I put you through.
I let you believe something was real when it was far for reality. I let you think that it was you and me, against the world; when it was just you against all my selfish deeds.
Your intentions were pure; to love me and have that love reverted.
On the contrary, my intentions were purely selfish and petty. I thought they would cause no harm, but when I realised the repercussions of my actions, the damage had already been done.
And to top it all off, I didn't even give you the chance for closure.
I entered your life, took over like a conquerer and abandoned you when I found what I began my conquest for. I left you in ruins.
I see you're doing well now. Truly, ruins can be beautiful too.
However, I hope your opinion on what love should be like isn't a part of those ruins because of me. And I wish with all my heart that you find someone who loves you truly and deeply. Someone who can fill the holes I burned in your heart. Someone who can make my wrongs right.
