"I seriously have nothing to wear!" I said into my phone.

"Avery seriously? Your closet is probably the most full one on campus." My best friend Tahlya replied through the phone. She was right about that, I had an huge amount of cloths. I kinda had a shopping problem.

"Tahl, I'm going crazy. I have no idea what to wear." I said, pushing aside more hangers.

"Do you need me to come up?"

"Yes please." I begged.

"Fine, one sec." The phone line went dead and I tossed the iphone onto my bed.

A good 2 minutes later, there was knock on my dorm room door.

"It's unlocked!" I shouted over my music. Kiss This by The Struts was playing. The door opened and Tahlya strode in, hopping onto my bed.

"You know, being just a floor below is quite nice, seeing as I basically live in this room anyways." She said, laying on her stomach. "But it still sucks that you got your privileges taken away last year for hooking up with that cute band teacher. We could've roomed together."

Yeah, but don't look at me like that, he was right out of grad school anyways. It was nice, but we were caught by the Dean.

Yes, I tend to make bad decisions. Thank you.

"Anyways, what about that loose maroon tank top blouse? I like that on you. Plus you can just wear it with black leggings and you won't look lazy." Tahl laughed, propping herself up on her elbows. "Oo! And you can pair it with a leather jacket without looking emo!"

I turned and stuck out my tongue out at her. I had gone through a typical emo phase in early high school, and she liked to make fun of me. (Here's a visual for you)

"You know, we should be going to this together!" I noted,  sliding my sweats down my legs

"You know, we should be going to this together!" I noted,  sliding my sweats down my legs.

"Ave, I've already told you that I can't. Mav and I are having a 7 month milestone date!" She smiled, kicking her legs back and forth. "He said it was gonna be super romantic! I have a feeling we will be knockin' it tonight anyways."

"Doesn't every date end in knocking?" I snickered, slipping my tank top over my head.

"Like you actually know anything about real dating!" She accused, throwing my top pillow across the dorm at me. I sidestepped the slow-moving cushion and continued getting ready. "But seriously, you should really try dating."

At that, I laughed. "Tahl, really? Me, dating? You're funny." I grabbed my shoes from the bottom of the closet and tossed them over to the floor by my bed. Before walking over to the bed, I grabbed my assorted accessories and clasped them on.

"Scoot." I ordered, and Tahl obeyed, moving over so I could sit next to her on the bed and tie up my chucks. "Anyways, I'm perfectly fine not dating. It means more cute boys- an endless supply, and no strings." I shrugged, tying the last string and standing up.
