Chapter 4: An Important Discovery

     That night Brittany had the same dream that she had the other night. Her weak went by as usual, but she kept having the same dream over and over again every night. Brittany and Kayla became close friends. Even though Kayla was shy, she talked reguarly with Brittany. It was almost like she already knew Brittany before she came to the school. Brittany kept having the same thought as Kayla. Brittany was the first one to say something. "Hey Kayla, I have been having these very weird dreams lately," Brittany said. "I have too," replied Kayla. "Why do you think we have them?" asked Kayla. "First of all what do you dream about?" asked Brittany. "Well there is this guy who walks out of a hous carrying a baby." I can't see the baby's face or the guy's face. Next he goes to this place and puts the baby on a step. He leaves, and then it goes to when the girl is grown up I think. She starts hurting people all of a sudden, and then the dream ends, Kayla said. "That is the exact dream I have every night," replied Brittany. "That is very weird," said Kayla. "I know," replied Brittany.

     That night Brittany was thinking about the dream in her room. She knew she had powers, so she tried using them to help her find out what her dream meant. She thought for about two hours, and finally gave up. She went to bed soon after. The next morning while she was riding to school, Brittany suddenly she heard a slight whisper in her mind. It was saying, "Brittany, Brittany. "Whose there?" thought Brittany. The voice didn't answer. It just kept saying, "Brittany I need your help. Come find and help me," the voice kept saying. When she got to school, Brittany was greeted by Kayla. "Hey how was your night?" Kayla asked. "Same as the night before, except I heard a strange voice in my head, and it was neither mine nor my conscience," replied Brittany. "You heard a strange voice too?" asked Kayla. "It sounded like a man didn't it?" asked Kayla. "Yeah, it did sound like a man," replied Brittany. "Well we can talk about it later, cause class is about to start," Kayla said. 

     Kayla and Brittany hurried to class. When they walked in everybody as usual stared at them. Kayla spotted Tony in a desk on the left of the class. Tony waved at Kayla, and Kayla timidly waved back. "Okay class, take your seats." Mrs. Carter said shortly. Mrs. Carter did role call first, and then she began her teaching. Brittany paid less to the lesson, and more to her thinking about the dream, and the strange voice that she had heard. "And your homework for the weekend is write a two page report on whichever see creature you like best. Make sure you write facts about it. Brittany heard Mrs. Carter say before the bell rang. Kayla was walking out the door when Tony stepped in front of her. "Hey do you want me to walk you home?" he asked. Kayla just stared at him until Brittany said, "Yes she woul love to." Kayla nodded and she and Tony walked off. "Have a good weekend," Brittany called out to Kayla. "You too!," Kayla yelled back. 

     Brittany lay on her bed thinking about all the things that had happened that day. She used her magic the best she could to see the man's face in her dream. She figured out that the best way to do that was to fall asleep, and have the dream all over again. Brittany closed her eyes, and she soon fell asleep. Soon afterwards she saw the same man, and she focused so hard on his face it was hurting her eyes. She barely caught his face. He ha the same color of hair as her. She soon recognized his face as her father. She saw him place a baby girl on the footsteps of a house, and then he left. The dream was longer this time. She saw the date of the day. That was the day her mother told in her story's her husband had left them. She saw him running. Brittany didn't know why he was running, but it seemed like he was running from someone or something. She saw him run around a corner, and there was a great blast of light. Then everything was quiet. She silently crept around the corner, and saw her dad laying face down moveless. She had no idea who killed him, and why they killed him. Next she saw the girl who had been put on the steps growing up. Brittany again tried seeing the girls face. When she saw her she couldn't believe her eyes. The girl was Kayla!! Kayla was the one who was hurting people. Brittany woke up very fast. "What Kayla was in my drem and she was hurting people?!" yelled Brittany. 

     Brittany kept strolling through her mind. Why was Kayla in her dream. Brittany tried scrolling through her mind. That was one of her abilities, where she could read other people's minds and her own. She scrolled and scrolled around her brain. Until she stopped dead in her looking. She gasped as she saw in the way back of her mind the exact same vision as her dream. "That's our house that my dad took Kayla out of. "Why would he take Kayla out of our house. What was Kayla even doing in there? So many questions filled Brittany's mind. She scrolled more back, and she saw her other give birth to two twins. "That's me and Kayla!" screamed Brittany again. WHAT!! ME AND KAYLA ARE TWINS AND SISTERS????!!!!" screamed Brittany. By this time her whole family had come up, and said are you alright? "Mom you never said me and KAYLA PETERSON are SISTERS!!" screamed Brittany. Brittany's mother became dead white. "Tell me now mom, why did you abandon her?!" yelled Brittany. "Everyone except Brittany out right now," commanded Brittany's mom. Everyone left grudgingly. "Brittany I think it's time that I told you the most important story that you will ever have in your life."informed Brittany's mother.
