The camps are places we would go to get tested. Tested for hidden powers talents. I was never sent to one of these but my parents were all time. Apparently I never got their genes to have any powers. I was considered an outsider. I never knew what my parents had. The camps weren't were the society was they were located all over the real world.  I knew one of the camps were located in Times Square the only reason I knew that my mom brought me a souvenir from there. They didn't like it they took it from me and burned it.
"Here we are guys."
"We probably shouldn't go inside," said Lauren.
"Yeah we're from the 'real world' we shouldn't head inside," added Mason.
"I can't go by myself."
"Don't we need powers or something?" Lauren asked.
"Yeah, but I don't have them so you'll be fine."
"You don't have powers?" Asked Mason.
"Nope I never got the genes from my parents. So are you coming inside or not?"
"Fine we'll go," Lauren said. We walk inside. No ones inside because it's early. Training was usually towards the evening. They were machines everywhere. It was categorized. Flying. Strength. Mind. Healing. Invisibility. There were only 5. My mom said no one has ever had healing before.
"We should split up," said Mason.
"That's good idea," I replied. Mason went to strength and Lauren went to flight. I headed over to healing. Healings room was pretty small one desk and a metal chair in one corner. In the other corner was a machine. It looked like a chair. With a helmet hanging over it with many gadgets and wires. I head to the desk. There's a file. I open the file there's w bunch of papers. I go threw them. There's nothing important nothing that would help me defeat the society. An alarm went off. I quickly try to put the papers back into the file. One of the paper fell out I quickly picked it up as I was about to put it back the paper said Margret Calvary. My name I fold it up and put it in my sweatshirt, and run as fast as I can out of the camp. Lauren and Mason were standing out side.
"What was that?" I asked.
"I think one of them came inside or something," said Lauren. We head home. I go to my room and take the sweatshirt off and put it on the bed. I double check the note is still in the pocket. I grab a towel and go into to the shower. When I come out I put the sweatshirt back on. I reach in to the pocket. What. No no it was in there. It must've fallen out. I check everywhere it's no where. Shoot. I head over to Lauren's room. It's locked funny. I knock on the door.
"One second," I hear from inside. A few moments later Mason walks out of her bedroom and I walk inside.
"Why was the door locked?"
"I don't know, me and Mason were watching tv. "
"Oh okay. I'm gonna go to my room I'm tired." I close her door and head to Mason's room. I take off the sweatshirt and knock on his door.
"Hey Margret."
"Hey Mason," I walk in," here's your sweatshirt thank you for letting me wear it."
"No problem."
There it is I see the note, its on his bed. I knew he was holding it when he walked out of Lauren's room. I need to get that note.
"Hey Mason wanna watch tv together?"
"I'm busy Margret."
"Between me and you I think you're really cute."
"Thank you but I'm busy."
"Doing what?"
"Fine one episode!"
"Okay." We sit on his bed. The folded paper was at the edge of the bed.
" I'm gonna use the bathroom."
Perfect I think to my self. I quickly grab the paper and open it.
$10 dollars off your next pizza.
What? This isn't it?! I fold it up and put it back. Where is that paper. Mason came out of the bathroom. He had a smile on his face.
"Looking for this?"
"Why do you have that?" I ask. It's the paper! "That was in my room why did you take it?"
"I just wanted to see what you were hiding Margret."
"I'm not hiding anything. Give it back!"
"Fine if you want it." He had a smirk on his face. I snatched the paper and stormed to my room. I unfold the paper and read it.... I have the power to heal?
