#5 I go into deep conversation

Emma's POV

I jolted awake, looking around to see if there was the ender dragon or the glowing white eyes. All I saw was my normal oak house, Lilly sleeping in the corner on her purple wool carpet, the zombie roaming aimlessly under the big oak tree in the middle of my yard, and the beautiful flower forest all around my house. I've never been in the forest, and I think I never will. I sat up and wiped the sweat off my forehead. "Lilly, wake up." Lilly rolled over and yawned, looking at me sleepily. "Lilly, I had a nightmare." She must've understood me, because she trotted toward me, and jumped onto my lap. So I just cried in Lilly's fur for what seemed hours. TNT boomed in the distance, my alarm clock I think. "Okay, it was just a nightmare. Now it's morning. Time to keep calm and grow up." I sighed. Lilly wanted food. How I knew? It was the way she looked at me. I got up and gave her some pork and treated myself to an apple. I wasn't very hungry after the whole dream incident. I gazed out the window the zombie and gazed at me. He stared into my eyes and smiled, and waved a bit. "Wow, what a friendly zombie. It just waved at me" Lilly stopped ripping off big chucks of her pork while eating it and looked at me as if I was going crazy. "Lilly, don't look at me like that. You know I'm not crazy, am I?" She looked at me again and barked, looking passed me. I looked behind me and saw normal things. "Lilly, there's nothing there. All there is is sheep, creepers, smiling zombie with arms down, pigs, horses..." "Bark!" Lilly interrupted. "Wait what?" I looked out the window and saw exactly what I said. A zombie with his arms down ( Zombies always outstretched in front of them) and he was smirking. Every time I looked at him he would smile and wave, as if to act friendly...

My day was terrible. One part of my mind was saying "Well, I'm okay with that" and the other part was saying "A friendly zombie?! What was I thinking?" I bet you never had two different parts of your brain fighting over one thing. It's painful. Finally, I lost it and went outside. I needed to talk to it. Well, only if it could talk. I didn't even put on my armor, I wasn't thinking straight. "Lilly! Come here!" She ran toward me, tail wagging. "Okay Lilly, let's go!" I opened the door and she bolted out the door, to do what ever she wanted to do. If I called, her, she would come. I stared at the zombie. The zombie stared back. Finally I stopped playing staring contest and walked over to it. "Ummm, excuse me Mr. Zombie, ummm, your a boy, right?" He nodded his head. "Well, ummm, I wanted to talk to you. Can you even talk?" He nodded his head again. "Then why exactly are you nodding instead of talking?"

"Well, it depends. Maybe 1. I don't wanna talk and 2. Maybe as soon as I start talking, you will run away screaming." The zombie sighed. He didn't sound like I normally expected, but it actually made me feel better. He sounded like a man my age, no sign of being a zombie. If he were to hide and not been seen, I would of thought he was normal, like, a normal young man. "Your gonna run away screaming, aren't you?" I then realized I was in a daze, staring at the tree."No, it's just, it's just, ummmm, well..."

"What?"

"Ummmm, I thought you would sound, ummm, differently. And also a zombie talking back to me is a lot to take in."

"Wellll, okay" There was an awkward silence. "So," I started. "Well, I would like to know my savior's name"

"What?"

"A name. What's your name?"

"My name? Ohh, it's Zombie 32674..."

"Leo. Your name is Leo."

"Okay. You can stick to that."

"Soooo, how are you today?"

"Wow, that was fast."

"What?"

"Switching the subject."

"Well, I just want to start a normal conversation with you." I lowered my gaze.

"Okay fine. I am doing alright. How about you?"

"I'm doing fine"

"So, about last night..."

"What about it?"

"Sorry, about that" Leo ap

"That's fine. How about we forget about the whole thing?"

"Sure that's a great idea. How's your leg?"

"It's just fine. I completely forgot about that!" I shifted my weight to my bad leg.

"Well that's good."

"So I have to go now. Lilly is waiting for me"

"Is Lilly your dog?" Leo asked.

"Yes she is. And I have something for you." I pulled out a leather hat and gave it to him."This is a gift for saving my life."

"Wow, thanks" he said. He smiled and put it on. "Lilly, come here!" Lilly bolted to me and waited for my instructions. "Okay Lilly, it's time to go." Lilly whimpered and walked to the door. I followed her. "Bye!" I yelled to him. "Good day to you too"

"Stop acting like your British!"

"Okay fine. Bye!"

"Bye!" With that, I opened the door and let myself in. Lilly went straight to her bed and fell asleep. "Have a nice nap, Lilly." I went to the window and gazed out it.

"Have a good day to, Leo"
