Chapter 6

Your POV:

It's been a week since I've told Ethan I had feelings for him. School has been a place that I dread going to, more than I used too. Seeing Grayson everyday hurts me, not only because of what he did to me. But, because of what I did to him. I wish that I could just set aside my feelings for both Ethan and Grayson, but I can't. I still have feelings for Grayson, and I have new feelings blossoming for Ethan. I heard a knock on my door and yelled "Come in." My mom opened the door, "Hey honey, what are you up too?" she asked. I shrugged, "Nothing really." I lied. She smiled, "Oh, well I just wanted to come and tell you to get ready." she said. "For what?" I asked confused. "Oh, I would of thought Grayson told you, we're going over the Dolan's house for dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Dolan just got back from their business trip and Cameron is home visiting." she said. "Um, right okay." I said faking a smile, as my mom got up and left. I haven't told my parents that Grayson and I broke up. In fact I haven't told them anything that has happened in this past week. I would try to find a way to get out of going to the dinner, but that would only arouse questions that I wasn't ready to answer. I got up from my bed and headed over to my closet. I picked out a floral print dress that came down just above the knees and a white knit cover up. I then grabbed a pair of sandals and let my hair fall naturally down my back. "Y/N" my mom called from downstairs. "Hurry up we're leaving!" she yelled again. I grabbed my phone, sighed, and ran down the stairs.

"Ready." I said lying with a  fake smile. "I'm really excited, I love going over the Dolan's they're house always smells like cookies." my sister said making everyone laugh. "Well we better get going." my mom said grabbing her car keys and leading everyone out to the car.

*skip car ride*

We arrived in the Dolan's drive way and everyone unbuckled their seatbelts. "Ready." my mom said as she opened her door and everyone else followed her. 'No' I thought to myself, I wasn't ready. We walked up to the front door and knocked. Cameron opened the door and smiled, "Y/N I haven't seen you in forever!" she said excitedly embracing me in a hug. "I know, I missed you." I said smiling. "Well come on, dinner's almost ready." she said leading us in the house. "Mom, their here!" she said yelling. Right after Cameron yelled, Ethan and Grayson's parents came out of the kitchen smiling. "So good to see all of you." they said. "You too!" my parents replied. "Y/N, boy have we missed you." their dad said embracing me in a hug. I smiled at him. "Grayson, Y/N's here!" his mom yelled. I turned to see Grayson making his way down the stairs. He was dressed in a nice dress shirt with some jeans. "Well aren't you two going to say hi?" his mom asked confused. Grayson walked towards me, "Hey." he said hugging me obviously not wanting to make them question anything. The hug was warm and made me feel all fuzzy inside, just like his hugs used too. "Look at you two." she said. Just as we were hugging I saw Ethan making his way down the stairs. Grayson and I pulled away slowly from each other, he gave me a small smile. "Ethan honey, our guests are here." his mom said as Ethan said his hello's. "Well, dinner is almost done so you kids can just hang out till it's ready!" their mom said smiling. We all nodded. Grayson grabbed my arm gently, "Hey can we talk?" he asked. I gulped, but before I could answer Cameron interrupted me."Acutally, she's gonna hang out with me. You get to talk to her all the time I don't." she said grabbing my arm leading me up to her room. She pulled me into her room and closed the door. "Spill." she said. "What?" I asked confused. "Oh come on, I know somethings up with you and Grayson. That hug was totally awkward, and what's up with Ethan giving you guys the stink eye?" she asked. I sighed, "It's a long story." I replied. "You know how I love stories." Cameron said putting her hand over mine to comfort me.

Grayson's POV:

I watched as Cameron dragged Y/N up the stairs away for me. "Too bad you can't talk to her." I heard Ethan say from behind me. I turned to face him, "Not like she would want to talk to you anyway." Ethan said taking a sip from his drink. "You know what, why don't you just stay out of this." I replied. "Because, I'm already involved and like it or not Y/N moving on from you." he said. "What with you?" I questioned. "Yeah." Ethan said proudly. "Well she doesn't love you, and she can't just set her felling's aside that she has for me." I replied. "Used to have." Ethan said frustrated. "Still has." I said walking away making my way up the stairs. I walked down the hall and started to knock on Cameron's door. I opened it, I looked around but Y/N was no where to be found. "Where's Y/N?" I asked. "She had to use the bathroom, you know I never thought it would be you that would be the cheater in relationships I always thought it would be Ethan. Then again, I guess it's both of you." she said with an angry look on her face. "Cameron you don't understand." I said. "What don't I understand Grayson, that you cheated on Y/N with not one but two girls." she said. I sighed, "She cheated on me to you know." I said. "Yeah and she feels horrible about it." Cameron replied. "And what I don't?" I asked. "Well if you do your not really showing it." Cameron said getting up. "Look, Gray I know that you really like Y/N and sometimes things just happen. But, it's how you deal with and overcome those things that matter, and sorry to break it to you but how your dealing with it isn't making anything better." Cameron said with her hand rested on my shoulder. "I know, I just don't know how to fix it. It's not like I can take back what I did." I replied. Cameron sighed, "No, you can't take back what you did, and you can't fix this. But, you can make it better. You can show Y/N, that you care about her and that your sorry." she said. "Even if I did, she has feelings for Ethan now." I replied sadly. "But she has stronger felling's for you." Cameron stated. "How do you know?" I questioned. "She told me." Cameron said with a slight smile. "Kids, dinner's ready!" my mom yelled from downstairs. "You can do it, you can make this better." Cameron said walking down the stairs as I followed her. When I got down stairs Y/N was already at the table with Ethan on one side of her and an empty chair on the other. "Here Grayson, we left you a seat next to Y/N." my mom motioned for me to sit down. I sat in the empty seat next to Y/N and scooted my chair in. "Well, it's been a while since we've all been together. What's new with you guys?" Y/N's mom asked looking at all of us. Everyone sat silently, "I've decided to take extra classes this summer, you know just to be ready for next fall." Cameron said breaking the silence. "That's great." my mom said with a smile. "Well how about you guys, huh Grayson are you going to ask my daughter to prom?" Y/n's mom asked. I placed my hand on Y/N's under the table she didn't move it right away, but after a couple of seconds she did. "Well don't keep us guessing, how are you going to do it?" my mom asked. "He's not, I am." Ethan blurted out. I turned to look at him. "You are?" my mom asked confused. "Well don't be silly you two, Grayson when are you going to do it, you know prom is coming up soon and I thi-" I cut my mom off. "I'm not going to ask Y/N to prom mom." I said annoyed. "Well why not?" Y/N's mom asked. I didn't answer, "Because we broke up!" Y/N blurted out loudly. The table was silent, "Y/N why wouldn't you have told me, I mean why did you guys break up you two were so happy together." her mom said. Y/N sat silently with a tear rolling down the cheek. I guess it was my turn to say something. "Because I cheated on her." I said. "Twice." I finished. Y/N looked up at me, "Grayson you don-" she began to say before I cut her off. "No, everyone here should know what a big jerk I am." I began to say. "I cheated on Y/N once at a party with a girl in my math class and once at another party with a girl I didn't even know. They were the worst mistakes I have ever made, and I feel horrible for it." I confessed. I looked over at Y/N and saw a tears begin to roll down her eyes. I put my hand over hers again and this time she didn't move away, she interlocked her fingers in mine. "Grayson's not the only one that did something like that." Y/N said grabbing onto my hand tighter. "I hooked up with Ethan." she confessed. "You what?" Y/N's mom yelled! "What is wrong with you two?" my mom questioned, looking at Ethan and I. "Okay let's all just calm down." Cameron said trying to quiet everyone. "Why don't you guys leave the table let us talk." my mom said motioning for us to leave. We all got up and left the table and walked into the living room. "I'm sorry, Y/N I wish I could take everything I've ever done to you back." I said turning to face Y/N. "I'm sorry too Grayson." she replied giving me a hug. "What are you two back together now?" Ethan asked annoyed. I looked at Y/N, "No." Y/N said. "We're just friends for now, and so are we." she said pointing at her and Ethan. "Friends." Ethan said. "Yeah." Y/N said walking up to Ethan and embracing him in a hug.
