chapter 3

Caroline's POV

I walked into halseys house with dark circles under my eyes. I was up all night studying. When I walked in I immediately noticed Halsey talking to someone. Michael Clifford (HAHAHAHA IM SORRY). I couldn't believe my eyes. We had some awkward history. I thought I was just dreaming it. I rubbed my eyes until I heard Halsey call my name.
"CAROLINE GET OVER HERE"
I walked over trying not to get Michael to notice me.
"Caroline? As in the Caroline who broke Calums heart into a million pieces?" He said realizing who I was
"well uh" I replied before Michael took out his phone and began texting Calum in all caps.

Calums POV

Michael: DUDE CAROLINE IS FRIENDS WITH MY CRUSH
Calum: I THOUGHT SHE MOVED?
Michael: NO IM LOOKING RIGHT AT HER

Calum: OMG OMG IM ON MY WAY

Calums POV
I got in my car and drove as fast as I could. After Caroline broke up with me she didn't show up to school for a while. I decided to move to a different school because u didn't want any apologetic looks. But now here I am, breaking the speed limit just to get a glance at my soulmate. She broke things off because she couldn't handle "the pressure of being a girlfriend"
Yeah well I still love her and I'm just gonna stop by

Halseys POV

I can't believe Michael was friends with Caroline at one point and Caroline never told me. We tell each other everything. I really like Michael, I hope this doesn't ruin things for us. I could see by the look on Caroline's face that she didn't want to see Calum. I'm interested to meet him.

Caroline's POV

As soon as Calum rang the doorbell, I ran. And ran and ran. I knew once I saw his face I would want to be with him again. I did miss him. He genuinely loved me. The real reason I left him was to be with Michael but I instantly regretted my decision. By the time I came back to school after vacation, Calum was gone. So when he walked in with a look of excitement on his face, I panicked. This is going to be a long day.
